Had a flat tyre on my ebike. Contacted store at Falkirk retail park and was told to bring it in. I had had a terrible day because of this flat. I was met by Kenneth the bicycle engineer and he was so helpful in getting me back up and running there on the spot. Absolute top top guy and service 2nd to none. ??

Prior to our purchase we checked through the chat that we would be able to obtain a specific car battery at a certain store. it was confirmed this was possible. We went to the store, purchased the battery, and only when went to car they said they didn't have anyone to fit the battery. Our battery was already dead which could have put us in a difficult situation. The battery could only be changed in the morning so we had to come back. Arrived for the new battery in the morning to be told as it was being fitted it was the wrong one and was too large. Would be helpful if all these matters are resolved prior to avoid all this grief. Definitely would have gone elsewhere,(and alot cheaper too). Disappointed and annoyed.I do have to say the chap who fitted the battery was most helpful.

Needed a new battery fitted to the car, went to a well known tyre, exhaust and battery company got a lot of excuses form the guy who told me I would have to wait until the next day. Went to Halfords Falkirk, excellent service, knowledgeable staff, new battery bought and fitted in just over an hour. Back on the road the same day. Thanks Halfords.

Booked a time for 9am and turned up for my appointment time to have a dash cam fitted and was asked to take a seat. After a wait of 25 minutes was then brought to the till and told that the technician that does the fitting had taken the day off and nobody else available so would need another appointment which wouldn?t be until the following week as this was the earliest available.Clearly a fault in their system as no notification was sent to me that the fitting wasn?t getting done and no arrangements made for another technician to take the appointment. When I asked why I hadn?t been notified before turning up was just asked if I?d booked online and that this can happen to these bookings when someone takes annual leave. Simply awful service to cancel a booking without letting the customer know and leave that job with a member of staff dealing with the tills who isn?t at fault.

Don't buy a bike from halfords. I bought one 3 months ago, now you can't peddle a full rotation without the chain slipping so the bike is essentially unusable and I'm now having to pay£65 for a new chain. I've never heard of any one having to replace a chain every 3 months! That equates to 4x a year at this rate.

Truly awful. After booking an appointment to have my bike serviced in advance, when I got to the shop I was told there was no one available to carry out the service. So what is the point in having an appointment system? They said They'd phone me when the work was finished, I didn't get a phone call. I went back to the shop at closing time, after a little confusion they said the work was done and I could take my bike.Part of the service was adjusting the saddle bolts to the manufacturers recommended torque, they may have done this but they'd set the saddle to a height where I'd need to be about 25cm taller to even sit on the thing. The brakes had been adjusted but the front brake had obe pad pressed against the wheel so it only turned with effort and the back brake had both pads clamped against the wheel and didn't turn at all; on the report they gave me it said the back wheel didn't turn freely and I should pay them to fix it, it didn't turn because they messed up the brakes. The gears were working fine before I put the bike in, now they only change gear sometimes. I'm guessing they were adjusted with the same level of competency as the brakes.I had to push the bike home and then spend about 40 minutes trying to make it roadworthy.I'm now going to have to put it in to a competent company to get them to check for and fix anything else Halfords have messed up.
