The staff in this store are exceptional, with special mention to Jean and Susan. I haven't shopped in store for years until recently and have been into this store many times in the last month for advice. Even though it has sometimes not resulted in a sale, the staff have been so helpful and kind, giving suggestions, searching the stockroom and generally going above and beyond the call of duty in helping me find suitable items. When I complimented the Manager on her lovely staff she was genuinely delighted for them.

My wife swears by the quality of clothes here and I have to say the clothes look lively on her. Friendly staff as well.

My fiance and I spent over £400 yet the staff ignored us and hid behind the till the whole time we in the store. Appalling lack of service considering the premium nature of the brand.

I used to think that Whistles was quite frumpy/school teacher-esque but on my recent visit I realised that their clothes are now going in a completely different direction, appealing to a much broader audience. First of all, the lay out of the shop is super cute, it's painted white a fresh, the clothes are well organised and they have even have little blue origami flowers adorning the walls. I'm a huge origami fan so this was the icing on the cake for me. I spotted a few dresses that were just gorgeous and just so unusual. One in particular was green with little white doves on it, the material was light and soft making it the perfect summer dress, it was also perfectly shaped and I could tell it would have fitted like a glove had I tried it on. I decided not to try it on as it was £135, while that isn't completely ridiculous for a dress, I can't really justify spending that at the moment as I have so many other things on my list. I also noticed much more affordable items such as fitted skirts for £40. The have a wide range of sizes and stock size 6-16.

If it's a bit of fancy dancy party or evening wear you're looking for then you could do a lot worse than have a look in here. Whistles is probably better known for targeting an older female market, but when I saw the sale signs in the window my general female radar zoned in and I found myself rummaging through the rails. I have to say, the dresses are lovely and I would wear loads of them. I think they're targeting a bit of a younger audience these days and it seems to be working, I had a quick scout around the store and most of the shoppers looked under 35. Well done Whistles! Give it a go, even if you are a bit younger, you might just find a little gem!

I wish first of all I had a job that I had a uniform allowance (like an airhostess) then I'd be in here every single week buying large amounts of pressed, smart/casual clothes. Located on the very fitting George Street it's an institution when it comes to upmarket high street even if it does seem to be for the older market a wee bit. The shop front is simple and stylish and the window dressers do a good job with their ever changing outfits. Staff are friendly and helpful with no glimpses of snobbery however the prices beg to differ to this attitude. As the attire is good it's not realistic in a young persons wardrobe but perhaps we all need to do some growing up at some point.

Really great quality clothes, just dont expect not to pay for the quality! The prices are quite outrageous but the service is friendly and helpful.
