Last eye test I booked (2 years ago) was twice cancelled, due to the optician going home unwell. I eventually went to Boots. Thought I'd give them another chance, due to locality, booked Online, received Email confirmation of booking, requesting turn up 10 minutes before appointment time, which meant I had to leave work early. On arrival, gave my name, the receptionist then went to speak with someone, before returning to say, due to optician going 'home sick' they would be unable to see me. I asked why I had not received an Email/ text or phonecall to inform me, to which she replied "we left you a voicemail this morning" on checking my phone, this was obviously a blatant lie. Absolutely fuming! Terrible way to treat customers. 3 TIMES? ?

Very happy with my new glasses! Just a very slight tweak to my prescription- apparently not really warranting a new pair but with Specsavers pricing I couldn?t resist in buying a new pair and they are lovely

I visited the branch a few weeks ago, i took my 4 year old son. Before the actual eye test, a member of staff wanted to do the examination of where my child had to focus on the balloon etc, my son has sensory issues, easily distracted, lack of focus, I was trying my best to get my son to focus, however the member of staff seem to be getting very frustated and said that my child is not co operating and because of him, he is holding others back and there will be a backlog. I explained that he has trouble focusing and is getting distacted and that I was trying my best, i was then told by the member of staff that he has carrried out this examination with other children that are 1,2,3 years old and they were able to do it and why my son was not able to focus, the staff member was just getting visibly frustarted and i felt that there was no attempt tp be compassionate or understanding.We then got told to sit in the waiting area, the optometrist who took the eye exam was very understanding, gentle and understanding towards the needs of my child.My child then had eye drops put in and we were once again sent to the first member of staff, again we were unable to carry out the exam and the staff member said that if my child does not co-operate then he would be noted down as not co-operating and referred to the hospital and he will have to wait one and a half years for an appointment and if he does not co-operatre then then he will simply be put down as not having co-operated and theres nothing that can be done after that.Very appalled with the experience and i feel the member of staff may need more training to deal with children of all ages and different needs. I did not feel like returning again

Absolutely delighted with the prestation of the staff and the offers found. My aunt and I were in contact with the store manager, the trainer, and two consultants, and everyone was outstanding in their service, with patience and clear explanations of the different options available.
