At best staff have no customer services skills, at worst rude and unhelpful. Would rather stand around talking to each other than serve/assist customers. As for the Collect Plus parcel service at the store would avoid like the plague, they are clueless when it comes to both collecting and returning items. Would rather walk the extra few minutes to the one on Marchmont Road where the staff are much friendlier and helpful.

I would use the shop more but I only go when I have to, plenty similar stores close by. My pet hate with this place is the staff who appear to have no customer service skills at all, your lucky if you get a smile much less a good morning! Hey nobody loves to workBut you should make an effort to at least acknowledge your customers.Layouts a bit ropey aswell with no room to browse but as I said plenty other shops round the corner.

I agree with other reviewers this is a covid unsafe store breaking the law . They make a big deal about telling customers to go in the back way however they allowed a customer to come in the front without a mask in block the exit cough and splutter and demand free stuff , the staff member on duty Joe did nothing to make the situation safe and Covd safe at that . I'm not surprised that Scotmid does not permit customer complaints as right from the beginning of the pandemic this store has been a safety law on to itself . They were happy to take my money but do not abide by the law or keep the store safe . Joe's behaviour undermined the whole Social distancing laws .

Distance and safety not particularly well enforced. I'm am not impressed. Basic supermarket stuff aimed mainly at students. I used to go in rarely and now not at all.

WORST ZOO EVER!Although it's closer than the other zoo in Edinburgh I have to say I was not impressed.Although technically there were some animals they were chopped into bits, but some of them were still recognizable as fish. There were some enclosures that had fruit and vegetables, very post modern! Not really big enough for a full day out but some people might like it.Although compared to the other zoo in Edinburgh they do sell milk and stuff like that in the gift shop which tastes better putting fridge magnets in your morning cup of tea.
