Staff argue and tell me that there isn't a 50p stamp. Keep asking me what is inside parcels even though I'm not required to tell them. They can ask me if any thing from the list is inside but they still argue that I am required to tell them which is a breach of my privacy. Not to mention the attitude and language used with customers.

They are always friendly in here, I'm not sure where the negative reviews come from. I think people are misunderstanding the friendly banter as something far different?

I am compelled to share my deeply disappointing experience at the Newington Post Office on Clerk St on October 21st, 2023.I had a transaction that involved a cash deposit and a credit card purchase of a stamp. I chose to deposit cash first and then pay for the stamps I purchased by swiping my card. Unfortunately, an older employee with glasses suddenly got angry and asked me why I didn't explain before depositing the cash that I also wanted to buy stamps. And accusing me of not understanding ?How the Finance Market Works! He referred to me as a "STUPID PERSON," which is completely unacceptable in a customer service setting.My visit was for a simple transaction, and the choice of payment method should not warrant unsolicited commentary. The employee's attempt to demean me was unprofessional and left me deeply disheartened.This employee also refuse to apologize. He asked me to write complaint, which I did. But I could see that he didn?t care at all. I urge the post office to take immediate action, and a comprehensive explanation of steps to prevent such behavior in the future.This matter deserves serious attention, and I hope for a prompt resolution.

I use this PO weekly and it?s always the same old rude man taking an incredibly patronising attitude. Long queues, poor service, unsatisfied customers all over.

I am shocked to have been treated so rudely by the older gentleman who serves behind the counter, he was incredibly rude and insulting to me. After reading these other reviews I am amazed he is allowed to keep working there or can hold the license to run a Post Office. Such a vital service to our community should not be destroyed by people like him.

I was having trouble acquiring a money travel card, and was worried I'd fail to do so before my upcoming holiday to the states. I visited this branch of the post office and was helped immensely by a gentleman behind the counter. He explained what I needed to do without being condescending and with great patience. I'm very grateful for the excellent standard of service I received.

1. Charged me 1.10 for a 75 cents stamp2. Mailed 2 postcards back to my hometown, costed me 2.20 each. One went through, the other appeared back in my house the next day. When I went to ask what happened, here's what the staff said, and I quote: "I'm not here to argue, it's because you wrote the From address, that's what they scanned and so that's where it went. It's all Royal Mail's fault, I cannot do anything about it. You want to send it again, pay another 2.20."An absolute scam through and through, and horrible customer service.

Manager thinks he's funny if you catch him on a good day. Catch him on one of his many bad days and he is a nasty wee man. I have witnessed him bring a young Chinese girl to tears over the packing of her parcel. I was having a bad day myself or I would have intervened. I was disgusted but not surprised having been victim to this mans lying and money grabbing myself. I feel ashamed that our Royal Mail is now controlled by such people. They are no more honorable or reliable in their central offices unfortunately. I will be using other providers wherever possible. Sad times.

Got verbally berated by the older fat caucasian male with ??? Chinese tattoo on his arm over forgetting to seal the envelope. I have a visible disability which can also affect my memory and cognition? very unpleasant and confrontational behaviour. I never had issues with the Asian servers but I will rethink returning to this post office as his attitude is very curt and unpleasant.

Hi everyone I have just been to this post office with several parcels and was delighted that the man behind the counter processed all of six very efficiently without making me feel uncomfortable that I might have been holding anyone else up.I am disabled which makes it difficult for me to get about so good service really helps.I can now confidently return.Thanks to you all.

I?ve used this post office on several occasions now and never seem to have any problem with any of the staff in fact they are very helpful, find it hard to believe these reviews and find some of these reviews personal attacks on the workers, they are only doing their job like any of us. Keep up the good work guys ?? bare in mind when you read these reviews there are always two sides to a story and some customers aren?t always the best either ?

On two occasions now, the same staff member has charged me double the advertised price for sending a parcel. On this occasion, when I said what I would like and stated the advertised price, the staff member laughed at me and charged me double. No other post office I have used does this.
