I've been a regular customer for the past few years always loved shopping in your store but after yesterday's experience, I'll be afraid to go there again, scared that the next visit might end with another trauma and panic attacks. That what happened yesterday was terrible, I felt totaly disrespected and abused by your security guard. If this is what "security" looks like, we probably still live in the stone age.I was shopping in that one store yesterday than I tried to leave the shop, when after passing the door, I felt a tug and something pulled hard on my bag pack, forcing me back into the store. This is totally unacceptable. The situation when I leave the store and someone who considers himself as "security" tugs on my backpack and forcefully pulls me back in when I am leaving in a hurry is unacceptable, inhumane, unethical and violates my human rights. Especially that when I left the store the alarm didn't go off. So there was no grounds for the guard to forcefully pull me back in. I felt attacked, scared and shocked as to how you can be such a brazen person to use force against a woman. He immediately treated me like a thief, explaining that it was "his job" to do so. Does the job also include disrespecting people for no reason? He requested to see my receipt which I gave to him straight away. After showing the receipt for my purchases and checking my purchases, he said that I had paid too little. Hahaha.. How can I pay too little for shopping by scanning the bar code? Especially that I only bought 4 products. The price was 6.43. He said that oranges definitely cost more. Is this another joke? Do I set prices at the register? He acted as if he had seen these oranges for the first time and as if I had hidden something there. After I took out all the products, he looked into my bag again and again as if something would magically appear there. I've seen a lot in my life, but never such an unprofessional behaviour, humiliating another person in front of other customers. He was trying to accuse me of something and when he didn?t find anything he started accusing me of yet another thing just to find the reason for his abusive behaviour.Aforementioned ?security? guard called the shop assistant who was standing at the self-service checkouts to go and check the price of oranges, because in his opinion they were too cheap (really? :) ).This polite man had to walk through the entire store to confirm that the security guard had made a mistake again but he was still trying to convince me of doing something wrong. Unfortunately for him he found nothing so he kept trying to act professional but instead he was just embarrassing. He only knows how to attack a vulnerable person and use words that this is ?his job", with no explanation as of why I was pulled back, violated, searched in the middle of the shop and humiliated in front of everyone. After I suggested to him to check the cameras and see how he treated me and what he did, he bluntly stated again that it was "his job?, suggesting that there was nothing wrong with it. If this is what his work ethic is like, he should be ashamed to look in the mirror. No one is allowed to violate me, especially some random guy in the store who sees things that don't exist. I also never received an explanation as of why I was physically forced back into the store and searched in front of everyone, especially that I was past the front door and the alarm didn?t go off when I was leaving. Even though I didn?t do anything wrong, I felt guilty, like someone who had committed a crime and everyone's eyes were on me. I am traumatized by this situation and this behaviour. After leaving the store I had a panic attack and it took me a while to calm down in the middle of a busy street. I felt violated and embarrassed. I have never stolen anything and I don't intend to. I have money and I love to spend it. I asked for his name and he said that his name is Azis. I don't know if it's his real name because his ID badge wasn&

I have been a frequent visitor to the M&S food market on Prince Street in Edinburgh over the past three years. The store has consistently offered high-quality, albeit pricey, food items, and the service from the staff has generally been commendable. However, today I encountered a distressing incident. After purchasing a steak and opting for self-checkout without receiving a printed receipt, the alarm went off as I exited the store. The security personnel inside treated me rudely, insisting I show my receipt or bank payment record. Despite using a bank card issued in China (evidently, he couldn't read Chinese), he impolitely demanded I open my handbag for inspection.During this confrontation, a Caucasian woman also set off the alarm while leaving, and the security officer attempted to overlook the incident. Only upon my insistence did he check her belongings, and she merely showcased one of her three accompanying bags (for what reason?).It appears that M&S is providing service based on ethnicity, as I faced discrimination solely due to my Asian appearance.Ridiculous!!;)

I was sure to never buy anything from M&s because of the quality of a pair of boots that I bought from there.. But after 5 months, I decided to finally have a word and complain about it..And to my pleasant surprise, with no receipt ( I did have my payment details though), they took it back and refunded me the entire amount.. That's a really commendable customer service and a nice gesture to win customers' trust.. Thank you ?

I was returning my pyjamas today - with no tags but I had my receipt. All together it was four members of staff trying to get my refund back. I was told to keep the tags in the future and most importantly the bow from the packaging...really??? Am I getting a hard time as I threw the bow away? Thought M&S had better customer service rather than getting customers told off...Merry Christmas!!!

I don?t like to leave negative review but I hope M&S give the staff more training at the self-check out gate. I have changed to M&S from ordering Waitrose in the last year or so, regular weekly shop £30-40. Today I picked 4 bananas but could not find in the search loose item, looking around no staff visible. As I was packing the rest of the stuff already paid, someone appeared, asking me immediately if I have weighed the banana (not packed), when I said no, she proceeded to take my receipt from me, as if checking something, without offering help to weigh. I told her that I don?t have to have the bananas, she simply took away without saying a word. This made me feeling as if I intended to make out the bananas for free - for what, a couple of pounds??The staff need training to offer help at the gate, be more civilised if not friendly -pls don?t treat people with suspicion!

We both had the sausage, bacon and cranberry ciabatta with chips & turkey gravy dip. This is a very busy cafe especially during the Christmas markets. However, even with only one coffee machine working, they were very efficient, organised and friendly. The food was super, our only comment would be that the gravy should have been thicker and tastier for what it should have been. The coffee and cup of tea were grand ?

I went to buy trousers and got a great feeling from the friendly lady working in the men's department. She helped me and even opened a checkout just for me. She put a smile on my face and I got two great trousers for a bargain :)

Visiting Edinburgh, went in for lunch, all running like headless chickens, waited 15 mins plus for toasted sandwich, watched this tall guy a member of staff, with padded sleeveless jacket walk about, leaning over his tray full of uncovered food every time he put it down on a table, eventually got sandwich which was banged down on table, followed by something incoherient, oh,please send in someone to train these people, some things maybe can't be taught

I would just like to thank the staff in the coffee shop for their outstanding service. I was in with my baby Grandson and they gave excellent customer service. In particular the lovely lady who clears the tables and Manager. Thank you so much greatly appreciated.
