If you have any kind of self respect and love for your car. DO NOT COME HERE.They will being up the smallest issues and thread it like it will make you fail the MOT, pressuring you into jobs you don't need.I was quoted 2000£+ to fix an issue with my car (my 1500£ car). Otherwise it "would not pass MOT".. I took it to another garage, it passed MOT without any single warning.I'll stay away.

I am utterly dismayed by the abysmal level of customer service received from Halfords Leith Service.Their handling of my vehicle's suspension issue was nothing short of unacceptable.Despite their online offer of a free check on the 14/02/2024, my car was unceremoniously left in their garage overnight with no communication regarding the unforeseen delay. And NO check carried out.Upon returning the following day, my encounter with the ill mannered manager further escalated my frustration.I was brusquely informed that the fault had been identified and presented with an exorbitant quote of £308.I accepted the quote and requested time for pick. The reply from the so-called manager was that the car would be ready before 6 pm (15/02/2024), and that a call would be put across to inform me of job completion.I waited but didn't receive any call as promised. After an arduous 3-mile walk to the service center, I was met with the disheartening sight of it being closed.Calling the next afternoon, I was assured that my car would be repaired. However, skepticism led me to the garage, only to confirm my suspicions ? my car was as I had left it, unattended and unrepaired as at 5pm today the 16/02/2024When I got there today, I met the so-called manager to ask if repair has been effected and if not that my key be handed back to me.The key was returned with an insolent disregard for an apology or any form of remedial courtesy.I implore anyone considering the services of Halfords Leith to avoid this establishment at all costs, lest they too fall victim to the pitiable communication and customer service that I have encountered.Two days of my time have been utterly squandered, a third would be inconceivable with such incompetent and imperious staff who seemingly placed himself above customers with disdainful superiority.A minus Zero if that was possible

Friendly reception but required drop off two hours before booked time ?to help manage the day? - for them not me. Missed a brake bulb that needed replacing and rather than rectify the mistake claimed it had been working when checked and recorded it as an intermittent fault. Replaced the bulb myself. 3 hours after I dropped vehicle off they still hadn?t done the brake check so I gave up and cancelled that. Emailed invoice very unclear what actually had been done. Fair enough it was a free 10 point check but disappointing anyway.

- never go again here, a big NO.- pathetic workforce with no manners to talk to the customers.- they provide no timeline when the car will be ready- whole day kept on waiting for their call and my evening plans got ruined, also had to cancel few meetings for next day- mot cant be trusted.- highly priced- I had to select 1 star as there was no 0 option.

First member of staff we came across was an apprentice who was quite rude but the staff behind the counter remedied that situation quickly, we missed our MOT slot due to our own mistake but they still managed to get our car in the same day, great service overall.

Very poor service- turned up two minutes late for an MOT appointment and they wouldn?t do the MOT. The man behind the desk told me it ?wasn?t his problem? I was late even though he was on the phone for about 3 mins when I showed up, making me later. Wouldn?t book here again.

Madeline was so helpful and lovely to deal with! She was so knowledgeable and sorted my problem out in a minute. I would definitely recommend this store.

I was 6 minutes late for my booked MOT and they refused to provide the service. The team were happy to rebook me for another available day.

UPDATE. Spoke to Halfords customer service who explained that the auto centres charge a minimum 15 mins labour even for a 30 second job such as mine.He admitted this should have been explained to me and advised it would be cheaper to go along the road to Halfords store who would only charge £5 to fit it if required.Verbally quoted over double the price that Halfords quoted me for an item.As they are the same company this is worrying for the consumer.I would advise to go along to Seafield and avoid being ripped off.

Ordered a new bike with a basket + assembly with 2 weeks collection. Late in the date they realised that the basket should be installed - called me and I verified. Kept checking if it is ready and the evening before I got a final verification that everything was ready. The next morning: over 1 h waiting for it to be ready because basket is not installed. I took it home and: 1) the front wheel is not aligned with the handlebars - it is pretty bad, 2) the mud guard is loose. Bike is good but at the end I have to now invest time myself to do these small bits.

Amazing service, fixed an issue with my car quickly that a main dealer quoted me over £1100 for. Could have easily ripped me off and charged me hundreds to do work that didn?t need doing, but were honest and incredibly helpful.
