Bought a tv. The installation team are an absolute joke. They find any excuse not put up a tv on the wall . Best to find someone else to do the job.1st excuse,it?s above a fire place that isn?t getting used. 2nd excuse we can?t put it up to high as we are not allowed to get on ladders . 3rd excuse, the wall won?t be able to hold the tv. It?s a bloody solid stone wall. Honestly people just don?t want to work nowadays. I?m fuming at these cowboys

I was SCAMMED at Currys Store in Edinburgh.I visited the Currys store in Edinburgh to buy an iPhone on January 20th. When I swiped my card, a charge of 963.99 GBP was deducted from my account, but it remained pending for confirmation. The salesperson explained that this pending status occurs when the amount is pre-approved but will be refunded later, so he couldn't complete the purchase at that time. I was given a deadline until Thursday (25/1) for the refund to be processed, but it's been a week and I haven't received any reimbursement yet. I tried to contact them through the website, but I was informed that I should go to the physical store, which is impossible since I live in Malta. Additionally, there is no phone number or email available to contact the Edinburgh store directly. The Currys staff member at the physical store also told me that I could resolve the issue online, but it seems that this information is not true.In summary, I ended up buying the iPhone again with another card and essentially paid double the amount, as the money from the first transaction was not refunded. The manager's name is Eric and the salesperson's name is Craig.

Staff are great but its severly hampered by not having stock you can take away that day. Went in as assumed I could buy a tv and take it away that day only to be told they only have display models on site and id need to have it delivered and pay extra on top for delivery. Dont think they grasp how bad this will be for their business

I've visited this place twice... once was to buy a device that they listed but didn't have in stock. The other was to get some tech support on a device that's less than 30 days old and they sent me to the manufacturer.Really both were a total waste of time but the staff were pleasant even if semi useless.

The sales person was nice and well behaved. Even after covid, the person who is from other part of UK was wearing mask while talking to me. I bought an HP touch laptop from currys and the overall experience was superb for me.

Staff members in store is hardly helpful they leave you on your own mostly no one there to help and mainly the staff on customer service is very rude and annoying they don?t have good customer service in Craig?s Leath

We knew what we wanted and the staff helped and didn't try upselling us things we didn't want which was a breath of fresh air

Despite how somebody with an "Unseen" mental illness was treated, I do still quite like the place. Sure there's some seen as 'pushy' [something I never was] and there are others that are too stupid to admit that they don't have the faintest idea on a subject given to them - it is Clinically IMPOSSIBLE for me to tell a lie, so If I don't know, I would simply suggest a colleague and introduce them to someone I'd know as being clever on whatever it is the Customer is looking for.I used to work at their enormous branch at Hermiston Gait. When they dismissed me - I still don't know why - the Customers that used that place (not 'just' me) shopped elsewhere and within a fortnight, the branch closed-down.There's a lot to be said about the Staff at Currys - but usually it cannot be 'put into print', less there's a libel case brought. For MY part there: I was continually the highest salesman. Not just that branch. Not even just Edinburgh or Scotland - or even the UK. Even now - decades on, I remain their most reliable & highest Salesman who can (because of Asperger's Syndrome) ONLY tell the truth about anything.I remain their best in EUROPE. So why was I fired? Your guess is as good as mine - my manager [at the time] Mike Nuttall said specifically to me that nothing would be done about whatever it was I was accused of - by whom?

A rather depressing shopping experience from an outlet that?s more of a warehouse for online shopping than a bricks and mortar retail store. If you are looking for something, check online first because going in on spec is likely to end in disappointment.I was lucky on my last visit that they had what I wanted in stock in store, but that?s the exception rather than the rule these days with all Currys stores. That said I?ve been happy with the quality of the purchases that I?ve made and the prices are competitive.
