Extremely over priced, broken toys and still asking a couple of quid. Messy dirty kids books and they still want £2.

We have had a furniture collection booked few weeks ago for this morning. The driver even phoned me in the morning saying he would collect between 8 and half 11. However no one showed up and didn't even bother to inform us. I phoned them multiple times after having wasted the entire morning waiting for BHF collection. The manager was passive aggressive over the phone and told me the driver tried to phone but there wasn't any signal - seriously! Try to come up with a better excuse next time! The lazy driver decided to give the collection a miss and skip to the next one just because he couldn't be arsed to park his van in the street up along the side of our building or at the loading bay beside our building on the front street. Get better drivers and not lazy skivers!

A place where you can find great deals on clothes, toys, books, shoes, house accessories and other stuff. You can take a bag to pack your donations at home or they can even collect them. They do not accept donations that are related with safety, i.e. car emergency kit

I've picked up some great bargains in this shop. Especially recommended for books, CD's and computer software. Staff are friendly and you know you're helping out a great charity by shopping here.

This shop has mostly cloths, some old games, DVDs and a few books. They have great little gems once in a while as well. Staff is generally great and it's all for a GREAT cause.

I am a frequent visitor to this store. Its conveniently located near Haymarket Station and the bus stops just outside (No.3,33,44,4,25.....) Inside it is quite roomy and what I like most is the book selection on the right side of the wall. It is massive. They are stocked in order and you can easily look by authors names. You can get old and new titled books, as well as DVDs and CDs. They also have a vast clothes collection and some children toys and games at the back. You can even find changing rooms and try on the garments in private. The staff is really friendly and the place is clean. Prices are fab and don't forget you support a Charity :-)

This Dalry Road branch of charity shop British Heart Foundation is an excellent find indeed. I sometimes find charity shops a bit of hassle to browse, with an abundance of stock that so badly organised it just gives me a headache to sift through. Not this branch, however. It is so well organised that I could have browsed all day and they such an excellent selection of stock. They have the most videos I've ever seen in a charity shop and all priced at 99p including Finding Nemo, The Land Before Time and The Singing Kettle! The clothes were very reasonably priced indeed and the ones that I was looking at looked practically new. The book range was excellent, and again, quite cheap, they have everything from The Broons annuals to horror novels. My favourite piece was a pretty print that had a vase with poppies inside, it was really cute and only £5 but I just couldn't be bothered lugging it around all day but no doubt someone will snap it up pronto. On top of the excellent organisation, great prices and stock, they staff were friendly too and if you're a fan of charity shops, trot yourself along the this branch of British Heart Foundation.

This is another impressive Edinburgh charity shop. It's just round the corner from a large BHF furniture and electrical shop, and keeps things traditional. I primarily browsed the DVD section here, and was not disappointed. Charity shops are the ideal place for a great bargain. For example, whilst perusing the DVD shelves, I found 'Wanted' for the bargain price of £2.99. All of the stock on offer seemed of a good quality, and I was impressed with the selection of things on all fronts. As with all charity shops, you have to hunt around a bit, as they are not as meticulously organised as typical high street retailers. I may have to come back and do a more thorough check of their selection. Of course, the stock will change all the time, as is the case with charity shops. An unbelievable bargain is almost guaranteed.
