My father once said if you have to fight with someone to get them to take your money, don't bother. I approached a staff member who wasn't doing anything and told them I was ready to buy a specific laptop. I was told to "wait over there." I waited for 15 minutes while employees buzzed around, straightening things and chatting. Finally I left. My time is valuable, but my custom clearly isn't valuable to Apple.

just something feels off with all the apple stores, this space just feels way too vast and clinical, the level of help is really great but it feels more like your going for an opperation rather than a phone repair, to boot as well the prices for accesories are ridiculous, with much cheaper alternatives on the market

As an avid supporter of Apple products and their philosophy, I found myself greatly disappointed by the customer service at the Apple Edinburgh retail store.During a recent visit to purchase an iPhone case on the 2nd floor, my encounter with a store staff member left much to be desired. Seeking assistance, I approached a lady engrossed in conversation with someone else and politely inquired if she could help. To my surprise, she responded with a passive-aggressive stare that lasted about 10 seconds. It became apparent that she was engaged with another customer, and my unintentional interruption had disrupted her conversation. While I acknowledge my mistake, I couldn't help but feel disheartened by her lack of understanding. A simple, "I'll be with you once I'm finished with the current customer" would have sufficed. Such incidents happen, and it's essential for customer-facing staff to handle them with grace and courtesy. This encounter has left me questioning the overall customer experience at Apple Edinburgh. Moving forward, I've decided to exclusively make online orders to avoid any potential discomfort during in-person interactions. It's disheartening to realize that human interactions have become more cumbersome than navigating a website. This seems contrary to the seamless communication Apple strives for, and it's regrettable that such experiences may influence my preference for online transactions over in-store visits.

The Apple employee did not advise me well with the Iphone I bought. she changed my mind about the phone I wanted to buy and now I am not happy with the purchase, but They don't give me the option to change it because I am in other country. All the information that she gave me was wrong. You cannot go to other Apple Store in the world to solve the problem.

Appalling customer service. I booked an appointment and was 5 minutes late and they cancelled the appointment. Yet here I am waiting for an appointment 10 minutes over the appointment time and they still cannot tell me when I?ll be seen. So their appointment system works when it?s only convenient for them.

Very disappointed as no support for me regarding issues caused by low vision.

The worst store in Edinburgh. I recently booked an appointment and after climbing the stairs with no access to a lift at 8 months pregnant waiting around for 15 minutes I approached a member of staff who turned out to be a manager Angelo to say no one had checked me in. He then was deliberately awkward and unhelpful. He asked me my name which I gave then asked me the name it was under which I could not understand. I then advised I didn't think he understood me. I approached a different member of staff who referred me back to him for him to tell me it was my fault I wasn't checked in when the shop was clearly understaffed and that I had now missed the appointment. It is clear to me apple as company are only interested in taking your money. This staff member need to be restrained in basic customer services.

My 18 year old daughter who is travelling and was in Edinburgh today went to see if they could help with her phone that is in recovery mode. She was told that she needed to make an appointment. Surely you can make a exception for emergencies. She has no other way of staying in contact.

Made a "genius" appointment with the Edinburgh store to investigate the problem with (non)-charging of my Macbook. My genius Ana was extremely professional, diagnosed the problem quickly, did what she could to achieve a temporary fix .. and clear details/pricing were provided for eventual repair.

A petty review but in a world of online ordering it feels worth mentioning. I ordered for pickup, greeted at the door nicely, checked in and asked to stand in the order collection queue. It quickly became apparent that many people in the order collection queue were not waiting to collect an order and instead wanted to order a product, and the staff managing the queue were fine with this, so I ended up having to wait for 15mins whilst people ordered and paid for apple products. The collection in the end took 2 mins max, hence the frustration I had to stand and wait. in my opinion the staff should be turning people away from that queue who are wanting to order a product

Apple have gone downhill and lost their touch...I've been using Apple goods for over 20 years and this recent visit of mine was after 10 years as I had never needed support until this time. I actually can't believe how their customer care has deteriorated this much.My issue hasn't been resolved after diagnostic checks revealing what the problem was and replacing what was needed for me hasn't fixed my issue. I explained this to technician and he failed to understand that I felt everything needed replacing due to the nature of the fault. Reiterating bot like responses.I'm now in a position where I have a useless product but I'm thankful for John Lewis aftercare. John Lewis have understtod me and will replace the goods so I will only be using and recommending them for future purchases. Only problem is I have to wait until I get my next oppurtunity to visit them. Honestly wish I never wasted my time with Apple in the first place.

Was kept waiting for 40 minutes despite being told I had an appointment scheduled. The girl who eventually turned up was nice enough but didn't apologise at all for my wait.
