My favourite order from Forehill is the Angel Haddock Fish Supper! It?s a little dearer than the basic equivalent but not by much and without doubt worth the difference. The wait is never too long and I find the staff efficient and courteous. Well done!

The counter lady seemed very confused with our order, however the receipt was correct the wait for our food wasn't to long and the cafe was fairly busy. However when we returned back to our holiday home we found that there were a lot of extra food that we did not order, however the right order was on the receipt so how could they make this much of a mistake!? The chips were a little undercooked and the fish was wangy.We believe that they charged us for the extra food we did not order!! Overall the food was poor quality and we were scammed.

Staying at crofthead holiday park. Went to nearby chippy which had closed down so nearest place was forehill. Nice food. Place was closing early and quite busy but didn?t have to wait too long. Reason I am giving a poor review was because of the attitude of the staff. Terrible atmosphere. Served by the woman who I think others were talking about in previous reviews. I found her accent difficult to understand and she had no patience. Awful attitude, just not very friendly at all. Won?t be back?

The people who work in The Forehill Cafe must be the UNHAPPIEST, UNCHEERFUL and SADDEST people I have ever seen in a chippy! A chippy is meant to be fun and happy go lucky. I have never seen such SERIOUS looking people in my life! It's like waiting in a doctor's surgery. There's not even any MUSIC in the background for the people who wait forever on new batches of chips being made. Training on "how to look cheerful at work" should be one of the job requirements for working there.

Visited this establishment for the second time in 2 weeks for an ice cream treat. Last week we got a good scoop and a bit in our Oyster at a cost of £2.90 which I didn't mind paying. Today we got one small scoop which hardly filled the oyster. Back to McDonald's for a value for money McFlurry for us in the future. I hate greed!

Found this in a newspaper article and it didn?t disappoint us. Had both breaded and battered angel cut and both were terrific. Cooked to order. Spotlessly clean and well run

Came here based on good reviews saying ?traditional? fish & chips expecting good things. Can only say whoever thinks that has never had a decent chippy before. The only good thing was the chips. the fish was edible but soggy and full of bones and the mushy peas were totally tasteless. My boyfriend said his haggis was good. The worst thing is the girl who takes the orders totally rude and looks at you like you are a bit of dirt totally unacceptable. The other guy was friendly enough but she has a horrible attitude. Won?t be back unfortunately too many other places to go with hopefully much better service ?

Absolutely amazing food but bad atmosphere. Staff need to learn to be nicer. Only thing stopping me from going back is the rude staff :(

Been told about the Forehill cafe so gave it a go. Called in about 7 in the evening, plenty of parking outside but may have been lucky with the time as it sits between a couple of shops and a betting shop. Nice and clean inside with well displayed food options and prices and the ice cream selection looked fabulous which will try on another visit as this was just a chip shop run. Wife chose a sausage supper with myself picking the burger meal. Both well cooked and very hot as chips were straight out the fryer! Burger was lovely with a nice salad and cooked onions on top of a well cooked and juicy patty. Will definitely use again when in the area!! Not sure if prices are correct on the menu photos I've provided so please don't take as gospel but a good guide line. ( especially the ice cream prices )

Food was overcooked and when i complained to staff she got guy over who cooked the food, no apology!! rude staff, terrible atmosphere, worst chip shop in Ayr.

Today at 12:45......Shocking customer service....left standing for over five minutes waiting to get served there was only one person in front of me when I finally get to the till the member of staff thinks it's more important to ingnore me and pick up the phone rather than serve me. Another lady came from the back....ill get you over here... had to move all my purchases over to the other till no Hello..no thank you...no goodbye ......manners cost nothing. I will be taking me custome to Spar Hillfoot shop from now on as this has been the case for some time now in that shop. Goof luck....if your staff don't treat customers with common curtsey you've no chance of running a successful buiness.
