Beginner with these sort of products but wanted to try something and the friendly lady inside helped me find them and explained to me how they work and which kind she would recommend for me. Really appreciate the employee's effort and it made shopping a breeze!

They seem to be just stocking more and more of their own brand, vitamins, supplements, etc.I find their own brand of things very hard to swallow. I bought some skin/hair vitamins and it was like swallowing a stone.Also, their young members of staff don't have any product knowledge. I asked for something recently, and they hadn't got a clue what I was talking about.Another one treats you like you are new to buying a vitamin!I have actually worked in chemists before, and retail, for longer than they have been alive!

I normally really like like Holland and Barrett, but I have to say the last time I was at this particular store the customer service I received was really awful. When I went in, I didn't see any staff, which was fine as I knew what I needed anyway. While I got my items, I noticed a member of staff helping 2 older ladies choose a particular tea. I wasn't in a rush so I had a bit of a wander round to give the member of staff some time to attend to them. About 5 minutes later I went to the till and the staff member was still with the two ladies. She was no longer giving product advise, but was just chatting. She looked up and saw me waiting and I smiled, but she gave no response. I stood at the till for a full 5 minutes while looking back at the staff member and smiling, trying to make eye contact. I was so frustrated I was just about to put down my items and walk out. All she had to do was acknowledge me and say she'd be right there rather than completely ignore me.
The member of staff then came over and apologised and was very nice when she served me, but by that time I was not in any mood to be chatty.
It wasn't until I got home that I noticed she had been so chatty, that she had overcharged me, by putting through 3 bottles of shower gel instead of 2! Needless to say I will not be going to this Holland and Barrett again.

It's got everything under one roof if you're after vitamins or supplements, but pricy. Some discounts though if buying multiples.
