“This specific store, Slaters Menswear on Bon Accord St in Aberdeen, is without doubt my favourite store in the entire world. Every time I enter this store I encounter the most helpful shop assistants I have ever met in my life. Today I was assisted by Rachel and Charlie, who guided me into buying the correct fitting, high quality clothing which I required. They were fantastic; polite, professional and extremely helpful people which make Slaters what it is. You helped me to select the best perfumes that I was searching for since I landed in the UK and specifically in the Aberdeen. I tested around 6-7 perfumes for almost 40 minutes if I am not wrong and you did not hesitate to help me more to choose the right one. “Went to the Aberdeen branch for my first fitting in years, had a lot of anxiety as I feel very awkward about my body (especially since having a baby). The staff were lovely, the young lady who served me (Carrie) was absolutely fantastic, she made me feel comfortable very quickly and was so attentive. There were a couple of things that made me so nervous (I couldn't get the buzzer in the room to work because I was stressing!) and she was completely unfazed, was so helpful, can honestly say some of the best customer service I've ever received. I'm very happy with the bra I bought and the fitting, planning on buying from here again. I don't really leave reviews often but had such a good experience, will be feeding it back to Boux Avenue customer service too. Highly recommend.”

“Superb service from Neil...!! Came in to look for some hiking trousers and Neil answered all of my questions and gave some real expert advice. Great thing is that Neil didn't try to sway me one way or the other - he had no hidden agenda - he just wanted to make sure I had the best info on both the products I was considering. “The interior is clean and classy, and there is a wide variety of items to be purchased here. The items are of very good quality, that is undoubtable. However, one should keep in mind that this store is wayyyy more expensive than some of its competitors like Primark, for example.”

“Go to tk maxx for a great shopping experience. They have lots of designer brands and an amazing selection of anything from accessories (handbags, wallets, scarves, hats & jewelry) to clothing (more shirts than pants). The shoe selection was limited. There were tons to select from in terms of outerwear. You have to use the car park garage located off the shopping center which was about 3.50 for a few hours but it’s well worth the trip and the traffic flow wasn’t too bad for a Friday when I went. The staff at checkout was extremely friendly and helpful.”

“It's got good products, and a nice medium sized café upstairs, where the suit's are located too.And right across from the main entrance outside M&Spencer, down the alley way is the Prince of Wales Pub/bar/Tavern, where you get good meals and drinks of all categories provided too.”

“Very helpful staff. Went in f6some new ice grips for my boots. Only about £20 and they really do help you walk in icy conditions without slipping and falling.They sell very nice clothing and gear for all weathers.Also dog friendly shop. They have some water and biscuits for your dogs.”

“Always great quality and really good bargains in their sales, only issue I have is that their sizes seem to be a hit or a miss hence the 4 stars. I ordered 2 shirts online both a size M, wife nipped into the store and picked them up, When I tried them on, 1 shirt fitted perfectly and the other was far too small and had to be returned, which was disappointing as they had none left in a bigger size.I've found the same in store too, some tee shirts I'm a M and some a L, but I suppose they are not the only shop that's like this and is only disappointing when you can't get the next size up for the garment you want.”

“If I could give a million stars, I would. I had an issue with a product and subsequent issue with the manufacturer where they were unable/unwilling to provide me with a replacement product. This was purchased at Smyths so as a last ditch attempt before having to spend an addition £400 I went in to speak to staff to see if they could offer assistance and they went above and beyond, reached out to manufacturer and other Smyths stores until they were finally able to get a replacement product keeping me up to date the whole time.A special thanks to Trevor & Fiona.”
