The rooms were fine and clean. People were polite. However service was slow and often left waiting for people to be at front desk or in restaurant. Also the food was very bland. Looked nice but tasted of supermarket preheated fareFood & drinks: Limited menu. Food not amazing. Chips were cold

Good value for money, nice staff, nice breakfast. Walls are very thin (I was woken up by a neighbour?s iPhone alarm!) so bring earplugs. TV just has standard TV (no YouTube, Netflix etc) which would be a nice upgrade.

This breakfast is well up there with one of the best I?ve found. Location of the hotel is amazing and it?s so clean inside I just had a standard double but the room was big and clean , the staff are all really friendly and the whole stay was excellent. Highly recommended

I stayed in the Linton Lodge for 2 weeks in September 2023. First week the UK had a heat wave the second was tipical UK weather all 4 seasons in a day. The first week with the hot weather the rooms where very hot no Ac in the rooms or hotel. So any place in the hotel is hot. No firidge in the rooms. The room I stayed in had a moldy wet smell and there where 3 spiders in the room. The spiders where removes only on the Wednesday during the second week. Milk and suger was never replenished in my room. The food in the hotel is not bad but there are better and cheaper places to eat not far from the hotel. Breakfast was avaragr at best. The hotel location is great not to far from the city if you want to walk and outside of the hustle and bustle. Staff is friendly and willing to help.

This was Oxford revisited; I wanted to revisit Ashmolean, Botanic Gardens and Blackwell's Bookshop. I could not afford The Randolph, and new Best Western from Les Rocquettes, Guernsey. Linton Lodge was up to expected standard and affordable, but I needed to use taxis which were reasonably priced. LInton Lodge is clean comfortable and friendly. Good for breakfast b ut not for dinner: explore further for that.

Lovely hotel and staff, not to mention quiet and clean! Good location if you're happy to walk into the city centre (25-30 minutes depending on pace). Breakfast is excellent value for money.Only a couple of extremely minor things in the room, there was a few holes in the window curtain and the tea tray could of done with some more of the milk cartons. We had 4 which was only enough for us to have one coffee each despite having plenty of other tea and coffee sachets available.Sadly we didn't get a good night's sleep, but that was nothing to do with the hotel or our room, more so the hideous heat which was unbearable. Thankfully there was a fan in the room but it was just blowing hot air.On the whole the service was great! Especially Josh on reception - a lovely and helpful man! He's an asset to the team!Only complaint regarding the service was at breakfast, there was a young male member of staff who was replenishing the jam pots on the pastry table, he sneezed over the exposed pastries without covering his hand or going to wash them, he then continued to put out the jam jars without cleaning his hands. I was quite repulsed by it, maybe a refresher course on food and hygiene wouldn't go a miss.Highly recommend if you're coming to visit Oxford.

It takes a certain amount of nerve for an hotel to charge its guests to park , also not to provide water in the room, No extraction fan in tiny bathroom, and no fridge in room. Given that it claims best Western signature collection, I would hate to experience the lower levels. Staff are charming, but many better and cheaper places to stay in Oxford. Certainly won't repeat visit. They make much of the charming gardens, ummm.....

Everything was good, very good breakfast, clean room. But no air conditioning at all, we were sweating at the dinner. Also my room 118, was overlooking a roof on which the ventilation system of the hotel?s kitchen is and that thing is very noisy, it was kept on for until about 3 or 4 o?clock in the morning, so I really didn?t get a good rest at night and when I complained about the issue in the morning, they simply said ?it wasn?t switched on?. So because of this I only give 3 stars. And cannot recommend this hotel in hot weather. Wouldn?t choose to stay there again. I think Best Western must invest in air conditioning

No air conditioning, truly awful coffee at breakfast. Tired room. Shower not fully clean, dusty cobweb in room. No ability to change any extras to your room. Parking charges for their own car park. Seems like it?s gone downhill from last year.

Lovely stay in a great location - easy walking distance to the centre. Breakfast very good - lots of choice and good quality. Spotlessly clean throughout. The staff are very helpful and welcoming - special mention to Nasser on Reception who was a real pleasure to meet.

After having stayed at this hotel in September 2022, and having had a fairly good experience we decided to return. This time around, however, proved to be an even better experience. The hotel is located in a lovely, quiet area which is a pleasant 20-min walk from the city centre. We had booked 3 rooms for the 5 of us and these were situated on the ground floor. Each room was modern and very clean with a good supply of toiletries, as well as tea and coffee making facilities with biscuits. Breakfast was plentiful and well up to standard. The staff at reception, restaurant and bar were very efficient and friendly. This was a most enjoyable stay and we look forward to returning in the near future. We definitely recommend this hotel.

Lovely and helpful staff, great breakfast and walked into Oxford. Some great pubs around there and a peaceful garden to sit in. Just make sure you don't get room 122 you can't swing a cat on there and it's right over the bar and eating area. I would check and refuse it.

Head lice in this hotel! Be careful!!We stayed at the place one night on Aug 21st, room 212 and 214, on top floor. The rooms were hot because it?s on top. Upon entering the 2nd floor, I can smell strong pesticides in the hallway, when I entered the room, same smell. This was the last night concluding a two week long vacation in Britain, we went back to US the next day. A week after this stay, our boys (3.5yrs old) got sent back from pre-school because of head lice(it was the third school day upon we return). I checked the girls (10yr, 8yr stayed in the other room with grandparents) they got lice too! Head lice normally took one week to hatch from egg. Timeline matched perfect. And I realized why it smelled like pesticides! We dealt with lice with our kids before so I recognized the smell!Other than that, we booked two four-people room and stated the age. I do not understand why we would be placed on top floor? we have little kids it was so inconvenient! Each room has two queen size bed but no headboard as in other pictures posted, because of the roof wall was 45 degree angle, the bed was placed against the wall so headboard cannot be installed. I hit my head each time when I entered the room. I wish I had taken a photo, but the room was so small and unpleasant so I did not take one(I did not plan to review until this lice problem came up). Yet it was £180 & £190 per room (with two adult breakfasts). with the head lice situation it definitely did not worth it. We vacation in Europe a lot and this trip certainly gave me a very bad impression for the reasons above.

Everything was perfect - the friendly and helpful staff, the peace and comfort of the room, and the delicious breakfast! My only complaint is about the tripadvisor requirement of at least 200 review characters, hence this padding!

Adequate place to stay in Oxford. It is not as expensive as some other alternatives, but it's about 25 min on foot from the city center. Room was clean, although a bit tired and worn. During hot summer days it could get quite warm, there is no air-conditioning, but they do provide you with a ventilator. I know it's not the same, but it's more or less sufficient to cool the place in the night.
