I had an account with them for over a decade and never had particularly good experience with their service. Come to think of it all their services seems to have some bugs, ranging from problems with statements being (not)sent via e-mil, transferring money to another person banking elsewhere to withdrawing money in the branch.Last straw was when I was interrogated by their fraud team about paying my wife. In fact, they're are a fraud themselves as their cash ISA has is paying about 1.5% interest whilst other banks (i.e. Lloyds) are offering 5.35% on year fixed cash ISA.That's it, no more Burglarlays.

The bank time states 9:30 opening time and still not open. Frustrating that you are closing branches and opening times are reduced and still not open at the time you state!

I spent two weeks trying to open an account with Barclays. I went to the local branch, they said I needed to apply online with their app. I did so, the app said I needed to call to make an appointment. So, I made an appointment. But they cancelled my appointment because I was an international and I had to use their app to verify my location. I followed their instructions again applying via the app. But the app sent me right back to the local branch. The branch sent me back to the app. Round and round I went until I just finally gave up. I went with another bank. If you're an international student, don't waist your time with Barclays--they've demonstrated through their administrative processes that they do not want your business.

This refers to the bank's Oxford Cornmarket St branch. This morning (15 September) the customer-greeter was on the ball and helpful. Then the Branch Manager herself was easy to talk to, sensitive and constructive in her response. Without the slightest fuss or bother, she quickly solved a rather unusual problem. I was most impressed by the whole experience, and offer my warmest thanks to her and to her excellent staff.

Really annoyed with the new closing hours for this branch. Closing at 3pm is not ideal. How am I supposed to deposit cash into my account when the branch opening hours are so limited and the cash points outside don?t let me deposit cash.

Went to the Oxford branch to open a bank account, the lady there point blank refused and said it must be done online, I asked her to confirm if I can Not open account at the branch, she said NO, Must be done online.Disgraceful, as far as I know, choosing to open an account online is an option, not supposed to be a Must- the only option.As I can't reply to the response, here's an edit....As mentioned, I wasn't given the option of making an appointment,I was simply told it must be initiated online.

The place on Cornmarket Street is not working properly anymore outside of opening hours. During the weekend, all the ATMs were broken and today I arrived a minute after opening times only to find it closed and the ATM for money deposits not fixed yet. If you want to reduce staff hours, then find a way to provide better customer service with functioning ATMs. Disgrace for this to continue on a weekday!

Hey there!I just wanted to give a shoutout to Barclays Bank and especially to Sam George for being so awesome! My wife and I were feeling pretty confused and unsure about opening a bank account in a new country, but Sam was super patient and explained everything in a way that was easy to understand.We were also running behind schedule by about 10 days, but Sam went above and beyond to help us out and make sure everything got sorted quickly. It's clear that he really cares about his customers and takes pride in providing top-notch service.Overall, we had a really positive experience with Barclays Bank and Sam George, and we'll definitely be recommending them to anyone who needs banking services. This is a mixed review because I give 0 out of 5 for the initial contact I had with customer services as i entered this branch today . Acting as power-of-attorney for my mother, going into deal with a business, I was basically told if I wasn?t happy to close my mother?s account and take the business elsewhere. Appalling. Asking to see the manager, I was then taken to the office by the manager, Stuart , who I give 5 out of 5 , who was quite simply amazing, as manager, he took me to his office to apologise for the other member of staffs awful level of customer service. Stuart , dealt with my power-of-attorney business, and went the extra mile, please let Barclays have more members of staff like your manager Stewart, unless members of staff like this incredibly awful woman, who is that with me on my initial arrival at the bank. Barclays Bank in Cornmarket Street needs better customer service on the shopfloor.

It?s hard to imagine a customer service worse than at Barclays. Wanted to reopen my Premier account (transferred it a while ago) to catch a nice offer ? couldn?t do in the app so had to call them. Was told by Premier Customer Service that I need to go to the branch. Ok, spent an hour travelling, and at the branch, the receptionist tried to convince me in a rude manner they don?t open accounts in the office anymore. Sigh, had to patiently explain the whole story. Eventually was told I have to book an appointment and come again, but? the earliest appointment is no earlier than 1 month! That?s just to open an account, given they already have my profile and all details! Not saying, Premier means nothing to them, just waiting a month to open an account is ridiculous! That?s a reminder it was 100% right decision to transfer away from Barclays back then, unbelievable the service like this still exists in 2022?

I foolishly joined Barclays (as a university student). They have effectively replaced common sense with technology in the name of potential scams making it virtually impossible to access your own account without their APP. Might as well replace apps for apes. Talking with their customer service reps is a painful, painful experience, the end of which is guaranteed misery.
