If I could give none I would. I've just been in this HMV and myself and my boyfriend were asked to leave due to us crouching down to look at the lower shelves and we had 2 blu-ray dvds in our pocket which we bought from a charity shop. Because we spent longer than 5 minutes bending down a black chap who worked in the store asked us with authority to get up and then when we said we can't see the lower shelves he basically went on to insinuate we were stealing dvds because we had dvds sticking out of our pocket. He also said we were blocking the aisle but I am always conscious of leaving room for others. This was totally out of order and I will be taking this further.Don't go to this tore if you want to browse and have bad eyesight as you'll be asked to leave in a scary and rude manner.

It's a HMV... They're all the same inside... The one in Banbury though, it's different outside.... On the outside, castle quay appears to be a nice shopping centre but then you see the lotus and unwashed masses that hang around outside HMV or within the vicinity of it and then you remember you're in banbury

It's a small store usually with only one or two members of staff and most of the time I'm left standing at the counter waiting to be served on my recent visit they have started doing e-receipts which I do not want as they are less convenient than taking a paper receipt out of the box when I need to to take something back to the shop instead now I have to scroll through endless emails trying to find a receipt for something I purchased but I was not given the choice of a paper receipt they just wanted to take my email so they could spam my inbox with countless offers and deals I do not want stop taking away consumer choice and forcing people to do things your way to make it more convenient for you

Standard HMV, gone are the days of demand for a dvd, more T-shirts than a market stall nowadays but still good for accessories and toys which seem to outway the days of old skool HMV stores

Had most of the CDs I wanted but not all partly because I'm looking for older niche sounds not readily available on the high street

Staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the items on sale. Whilst CD's have lost their appeal to many, HMV, moved the business on to international influences, especially japanese, selling Kpop merch to cd's, to japanese drinks and snack foods. They sell game consoles and related accessories, and a very large range of earpods/ headphones.
