I was so nervous when it came to getting my hair done at a new salon, as my previous salon had closed down. But the ladies at Hairven were all so reassuring and friendly, even at the consultation. I had my hair done by Charlotte (wellaplex treatment, cut & blowdry) and I would HIGHLY recommend her, if you're looking for the most AMAZINGGG layers in your hair! Could not be happier with the final result, will definitely be making this my permanent go to for any of my hair needs ?

Had an amazing appointment today at Hairven! Messaged via Facebook in the first instance, where they were brilliant in sorting out an appointment for me with the stylist they thought best suited my needs. Met with Nathan a few weeks or so ago for a consultation which was great, then had my appointment today. What I hadn't anticipated in the meantime was having a facial peel a few days prior to my appointment, meaning not only was my face bright red but also peeling like a snake. I called the Salon the day before to let them know of this, and ask whether it would be possible to have a slightly more private appointment, and check it would still be okay to come. The salon was more than welcoming, offered a space for me upstairs away from public view so I didn't feel self conscious, and was generally amazing! Nathan was absolutely lovely to chat with whilst sorting my hair, explaining what he was doing throughout and generally performing an amazing service. Could not be happier with my balayage, thank you, and will be bringing my fiance down for an appointment with Nathan soon too! ??

Absolutely love this salon, been coming here for 3 years and won?t go anywhere else even though I now have to travel further. Lovely professional and friendly salon. I had an awful experience. It was my first time to have my hair coloured. After my consultation I was booked in for a Friday. A deposit was taken off £50. I called on Friday just to be told that my appointment is now on Tuesday. Which meant I had to rearrange my childcare. On Tuesday when I got to the salon, being late by 15 mins, I was told I can?t have my hair coloured and can only have a blow dry. Now I didn?t need a blow dry. So I was disappointed that I was late. However I was still booked in for 2 hours with the stylists. Unfortunately I can?t remember her name or the ladies name at the reception. They took my £50 and said that it is lost in the system that isn?t your money and it isn?t my money that?s the system money. Actually No that is in your business bank account not in any system. So I requested for a cut and blow dry because I thought ok I am late for my appointment, bearing in my mind they have booked this for me as mine was on Friday and they have changed it to a Tuesday. So i asked for a cut and blow dry as I was booked in for 2 hours. Well I was told sorry no I can?t cut your hair I can only blow dry it. But I wasn?t happy about the service. She said I have booked another lady in for consultation while you would have had colour in hair. What did you want me to do twitch my nails so I booked another lady in. I thought her speaking to me like that was very rude. I then addressed I have my little boys appointment at 5pm, then they told me ok as a good will gesture we will cut his hair and you don?t need to pay for his hair. So I still wasn?t happy so I agreed. When I came back at 5 for my boys hair cut, they cut his hair and as I was leaving the receptionist said now that will be £25 I was like excuse me. We had agreed earlier as a good will guesture I wouldn?t need to pay for my little boy. Now you asking for £25 that?s £75 in total you will be taking from me. I stood my ground at this moment off time and said well I?m sorry I?m not paying. I wouldn?t have brought my son at 5 if this so called good will gesture wasn?t suggested. She said to me if you don?t pay then you can?t come back to the salon. This made me angry as I have used the salon many times for cut and blow drys. In the end I asked for the manager who was actually stood next to the receptionist clearly she heard everything and she just said right it?s fine you don?t need to pay for the little boy. I still used my manners and said thank you. Whereas these ladies were speaking to me very rudely. My overall experience has been awful and upsetting.

I had an appointment booked on Monday for my hair which unfortunately was booked under the wrong name. This meant my appointment was cancelled when no one replied to the text message. I turned up to my appointment and they couldn?t get me in. The lady on desk was so apologetic (I can?t remember her name). She offered me a free cut and blow dry which I refused because I wanted it done with the full balayage. She gave me some free goodies as an apology and said she would call me if she had any other appointments/cancellations. The only problem was it was my birthday this weekend and I couldn?t get child care. Luckily she managed to get me in today with Craig who I originally asked for. When I arrived they had set up a bag with a 3 piece full wella hair care set as another apology. Craig got straight to it and started my hair. He listened to all the things I had to say but I also asked for his advice and gave him a lot of control. He said he finished at 7 and stayed till 7:45 finishing my hair and made it look stunning and natural (which I asked for). Everyone made me feel so looked after and even the apprentice gave me an excellent head massage. 10/10 service all around. I highly recommend going here, such amazing treatment and care. Special shout-out to the lady on the desk, Craig and the apprentice. Again sorry I don?t know names. Thank you so much!Services: Hairstyling

Unfortunately, I had a horrible experience at Hairven. I asked for a blonde balayage and made it clear during my consultation and appointment that my main request is for the hair to stay cool toned. I left the salon with a warm toned balayage. I went back the next day and agreed to have toner put in my hair to make the colour cooler. What they failed to mention was the fact this would change the overall colour of my hair, so I assume it wasn't just a toner? The goal was a cool toned balayage with roots left untouched, so it would result in a very low maintenace. Instead, my hair is now warm, top to bottom, which means now, after a month, I have a visible roots. I paid over £150 to leave with the opposite of what I wanted. While my hair had been boxed dyed before, they should have told me if what I asked for was unrealistic. The balayage and colouring also damaged my hair.
