Coming out of lockdown, my wife and I have used the cafe for many Sunday breakfasts and enjoyed several sunny starts to the day, listening to the farm animals from the decking area, and have generally looked forward to our visits. We subsequently tried midday visits with family with mixed results and thought our expectations needed to be lowered over noise and service delays and general cleanliness.I now think that...Maybe we were the ones at fault and were foolish. We discovered this review site and decided to read the negative and positive reviews and it confirmed our growing misgivings about the cafe and it's management. The positive reviews are generally unbelievable and the style they are written in makes me feel that some are written in by staff.Yesterday was the final straw...Lunch was busy, usually a good sign but the delays were 25 mins. The 360° warmth from the central log burner was good.It was noisy with a lot of reflected sound from the low ceiling. We moved to the quieter area with sofa seating, but were met with trays falling to the floor and clattering tray service preparations as staff prepared to deliver their orders. The lemon water dispenser was good.My wife's lasagne was goodMy chicken and mushroom pie was a shocker... With nothing in its center but goo. They offered a refund or they could do another whilst we waited... Even longer! Finally the penny dropped... The negative reviews all made sense. They were far more believable than the positive ones! Our long-standing trust in this establishment finally evaporated. The cook finally agreed to come out and talk with us. She couldn't understand why the product was so bad. She returned with a sealed pack of the offending Wright's Premium Pie and we duly took pictures to take this all up with the manufacturers direct, because we felt something concrete had to be done... And we certainly didn't trust or believe that the Dumble staff would be that bothered at all.We shall advise any updates from Wright's pies here in due course.

The staff were not welcoming and when asked how much gluten free items were no reply.. Expensive for what you got.

First time visiting today. The staff were are very friendly and full of smiles. Sandwiches were made fresh and the cake selection was brilliant. Couldn?t fault the place at all. Perfectly clean and has a 5 star hygiene rating. We will be back for sure. Prices were good and certainly comparable to most other places these days. Well worth the money.

I have called in a few times, most recently this week when I was impressed with the level of service from the staff who were incredibly helpful. The food was good, reasonably priced and a good sized portion with 2 pie meals for about £16.00 on a Friday.Yes, there are a couple of marks on the table cloths, but this is a family cafe suitable for all ages, not a fine dining experience. In the warmer months it has a large outdoor seating area, which is lovely.Plenty of car parking (which is on a hill). Also next to a farm ideal for young children.

I had been about a month ago and we had coffee and cake on the decking in the sun (Very busy with food service) Enjoyed. I thought I would take my friend and read the reviews. Panic set in from the reviews, nearly changed my mind. Glad I didn't tasty broccoli creamy soup, with fresh baked warm baby french stick. Cut in 3 with 3 miniature lurpacks. Advised 30 to 45 minute wait. Advised fine. Coffees brought over. Table spotless as cleaned whist we sat their, we had a plastic wipe one with herbs ? on. Checked tables cotton checked table cloths all beautifully laundered. (I can only presume a spillage on previous review) Staff plentiful, all very pleasant, nothing to much. Coffees came to table within minutes, little buscuit to x Food came within 20 minutes piping hot and delicious. Lovely young girl served us. I would recommend 100%. Menu available on website with prices. I thought reasonable for fresh homemade soup and beautiful crisp stick. I will be going back. ThanksVegetarian options: Feta cheese (depending if you eat cheese) broccoli ? soup, fresh salad and new potatoes option quiche (again depending if you eat dairy) Tuna and egg (again depending if you eat fish/dairy)

We visited Flora lands as the sun was out & we thought we would sit outside.Husband ordered two cheese sandwiches with drinks, the drinks arrived & 20 minutes later still no sandwiches,so we waited another 5 mins, nothing.Hubby asks one of the staff members,we could hear them talking & then some one came out to say the chef had left early & they thought he had made the sandwiches, any way they were lovely really tasty. But as we sat eating another couple came outside & their order came out but they didnt get milk for the tea, then another couple came out & their order was not right.I don`t know what is going off there but people wont return if they can not get simple orders right there was plenty of staff on duty.

Quite expensive and for some reason no prices are displayed on any of the cakes/traybakes/muffins etc on the counter. When you ask the prices they aren't too friendly, as if we shouldn't need to know what we're going to pay!The nicest area to sit in near the outside area is now a 'quiet area' so dogs and children aren't allowed, meaning families were literally walking out despite there being at least 2 free tables in the quiet area. We always used to sit in there as we liked that area best so we won't be visiting again. The tablecloths were all stained and covered in crumbs as well. We regretted going!

Good food and lovely staff but tablecloths let it down. We tried several tables and they were all heavily stained and it is dated and unhygienic.

My friends met me after their busy day at work for a coffee. We arrived at 3.15pm to be told they would only serve in takeaway cups as they close at 4pm and everyone had to be off the premises. We have never felt so uncomfortable and unwanted as paying customers. The lights were turned off at 3.45 leaving us and another family to haste our departure. Brookfields also stops serving at 4pm but has never treated us in such a manner. Always polite and friendly to the last. I suggest if anyone wants a drink in the afternoon to go to Brookfields instead and be sure of a warm welcome. We certainly will not be returning to this Floralands cafe.

Nice and friendly cafe. Situated in the garden centre. Really nice coffee and the Cakes are amazing too. You can sit outside when the weather is good on like a wooden decking veranda as well.

After visiting the garden centre over many years, we decided to have lunch in the café and what a very pleasant experience it was.The dining area is spotless and well laid out. The staff were very friendly and smiling all of the time, and we didn't have long to wait for our meals which were substantial, hot and of good quality and reasonably priced. I enjoy good coffee and I wasn't disappointed. Although the deserts were tempting, we're trying to pull the inches back after Christmas.Toilets are spotless, although the walk down the corridor is a little chilly at this time of year.Additional bonus is it's dog friendly.I've read some of the negative comments and think they must be confused with another place.
