AVOID!!!!!Horrible company to work for since they hire foreign workers despite the contract requiring them to know English. They also treat other employees and residents rudely, and they are paid more than the rest of the staff. The fact that there is never enough staff on the floor is another issue. How are 3 carers on the floor supposed to provide personal care and assist 18 residents who need two people in the room to change and put them in their chairs? The management and some nurses are also terrible, and the facility as a whole is a joke. Additionally, you are supposed to have a 30-minute lunch break, but it is cut short after 15 minutes due to not enough staff on floor. This place needs to be inspected by the RQIA in general since it's a real joke of a business that doesn't care about its own staff; they are nothing but a number to them. Regular staff get pushed out from the international staff.

I am a Google Local Guide, and noticed the address was wrong, ie Holywood Rd, Belfast, not OLD Holywood Rd, so have changed it, and it is under review.

My Mum (Noreen) loved her time at Holywood Care Home, from December 2015 until her death in mid-February 2018. We were delighted with the care she received and she really viewed her carers as new friends. When she was well enough, she took great delight in the entertainment on offer in the afternoons, especially if music was involved. When her dementia had advanced and her health was failing, she was looked after with great dignity and compassion. We also really appreciated the attention my Dad was given on his daily or sometimes twice-daily visits - he felt very much at home. Thank you to everyone who made such a difference over a few difficult years.

My Dad Allen McClelland was placed in Holywood Care Home late 2016 From the moment he entered there for 2 weeks respite, he didn't want to leave. He would have been sent home with a full care package which would not have met his needs. My brothers and I and all family members were very impressed with the cleanliness of the Home but most of all the staff. Each and every member of staff, no matter what their role, were friendly and spent time with Dad, he must have known he was very ill and asked me write an article for his church magazine at the end of February, he wanted it printed in the July issue of the magazine, he died on the 1st July 2017. He had a strong faith from the age of 14 and named his article 'Count your Blessings' He felt he had been led to Holywood Care Home and counted every member of staff as his newest friends and newest blessings. It made Dad having to go into a nursing home so much easier for his family to deal with because he was so happy there. I can't praise Holywood Care Home enough. I would highly recommend it to anyone. Thank You all.
