Over the years I've eaten here a few times and always left with the same impression . Personally I feel like the staff could be alot friendlier and more approachable. For me eating and drinking here is not a relaxing experience . Firstly if you can even find a seat your lucky , then join an inevitable que , then pay alot of money for a tosted sandwich and be greatfull for it . Alot of places to eat and drink these days, perhaps the best way to compete is on service . I probably wouldn't eat here again but they seem busy enough anyway .

We?ve been here several times before and always enjoyed the experience. Toasties are great, with a good choice of fillings. Nice coffee too. Just one thing, it?s a dog-friendly place, so if that?s not your thing, you might not like it.

We have been going to the Workhouse for years, and really enjoying it, not minding at all the bustle; in fact pleased it was doing really well, especially as it is expensive for many. Much better than a chain coffee house - as we told copious local friends Sadly, the post-Covid menu is not so great for us, the older lady who took our order this a.m. was rude and bossy (as other staff noticed), the porridge, a delight before, was so sweet we had leave most of it. And the piped music was (as before, but tolerated) intrusive. (Perhaps that's to discourage untrendy older folk, in which case it was a successful ploy!) All that said the coffee was as excellent as ever. We will leave going there until the spring, when we can sit outside. And we will stick to the coffee only. Great pity because such places in this part of Northants in short supply. My suggestion? The manager/owner should speak to clients.

From entering the coffee shop to leaving, the service was first class. The bacon sandwich was awesome as was the coffee. I would rather pay a decent price for quality and service anyway. Really cannot wait to return. Keep the bacon sizzling

Visited here recently for lunch. Beautiful building. Great menu. Amazing choice of treats! I had the most tasty salad (roasted veg and feta). Coffee fab. Very busy, we were lucky to get a table (you can't book), but there was overflow seats outside. Will deffo return!

Visited for the first time this week and what a lovely place! Great menu, service was excellent, food came quickly despite being busy and it tasted great. Loved the Halloween themed food too! Looking forward to our next visit already!

Sunday 08/10/23Service was simply horrific.Although I appreciate that the cafe?s ticket system had stopped working properly for a short period of time, meaning there was a delay on the orders whilst it was fixed and figured out; the level of communication to customers was ZERO. I was sat waiting for over 15 mins for a simples order of an iced latte and a tea, it arrived so slowly I had eaten the cookie before it arrived. Credit to the blonde waitress wearing the grey sweatshirt, with a green hair clip, who was the only friendly face in the building, who chased up our order promptly. However, upon arrival, the coffee was poor and the tea cold. There were 7 people working on the coffees, milkshakes etc. It looked simply chaotic. Probably another explanation for the slow and awful service that I seem to be repeatedly experiencing here at the Workhouse.Next time, I won?t bother stopping.

My ex-colleague and I arranged to meet here as we had been before and it is right up her street, although pricey for an old guy like me! If you like sugary cakes and biscuits you are going to be in heaven here as there is a huge selection. As a pre-diabetic I struggled, so I had a latté and, later, an Americano with a small piece of the least naughty cake I could see. Service was good but the coffee can sometimes be tepid by the time it reaches you ('Coffee boiled is coffee spoiled', they say - no danger of that here). We met at 1030 but the rush was starting as we left an hour or so later. A popular place. Parking can be difficult.

A cosy coffee shop with lovely coffee, great service, great staff, a few parking spaces, and a lovely interior. Air conditioning for a hot day. There is a lot of light inside thanks to big windows. Very clean toilets ? ? and you can stay outside too. The coffee itself is top quality and brewed to perfection. I definitely recommend it if you want good coffee . Another good thing is opening times, 8.30 . Brilliant, exactly when you need a coffee. I hope i helped you with this review to find a great place for your treat.Parking: Are just a few parking spaces

Cute cafe with delicious fresh baked cakes and savoury snacks. Fragrant coffee but the roast was a bit light for me. Worth a try if you're passing by. The brunch items look very tempting.

So glad we popped in to see this place after seeing it a few times on our travels in Brixworth. The venue is perfect for a cup of tea or coffee and some cake. We ordered a cheese and marmite swirl, lemon drizzle cake and 2 flat whites. Can't wait to return again as the menu looked ace.

OMG! Never thought that I could be so impressed by a toastie! My Wife had the "Curry flower" and I had the "Big Smoke" pulled pork toastie. Only £6 and £7 respectively but so, so tasty. The coffee was excellent and we had to sample the cakes too. The carrot cake must have been the best I have ever had. We will be back!

Sorry not a choice place for me.Very cold, everyone had cardigans or jackets on, told couldn't turn air con off.Very unpleasant to sit having coffee.Food was served near on cold, even after it being reheated it was only warm.Don't agree with dogs being in cafes , wouldn't have gone if known this, was surprised when people came in and sat down with them. Not a cosy place at all....
