Saffron from the York store was really helpful, she was really conscious of me being vegan and was able to assure of me products I could use; as well as taking the time to understand what scents worked for me, taking the time to go through each one and narrow down the right product for me. The entire time she was really friendly and patient. Definitely will go back.

I came in today looking for a nice scent for a date and was, despite the store being busy, greeted very enthusiastically. I didn?t get the name of the person that served me (long dark hair and some facial piercings) but they were an absolute angel and helped me out soo much. She was so bubbly and fun and helped me with some of her personal recommendations based on what I said I typically like. As I was paying for my selections, she gifted me a Snow Fairy bath bomb which I thought was such a lovely gesture, it genuinely made my day.

I popped by the store over the weekend looking for a gift for my mum's birthday, I was assisted by a lovely member of staff named Pharrell and he was able to help me pinpoint what would be the perfect gifts! I ended up buying a little more than I anticipated, I'm more than satisfied with my experience here and the products I purchased. Definitely will come here again next time I'm around.

We all know Lush staff can be quite hyper focused on talking to customers, but this store takes it to the next level.I left less than a 30 seconds after entering the store when a staff member physically put herself in my path and blocked my entrance, before asking me what I was after. I just wanted to browse, but the interaction was so aggressive and demanding (literally blocking me from entering!) that I left.Lush, why do you force your staff to do this? For those of us with social anxiety, it?s an incredibly stressful experience being forced to interact with staff.

Always love coming here, obsessed with the store and the general vibe. I went yesterday evening and met Sarah. She was lovely, informative and not pushy at all. I then went to the til, the sales assistant was lovely & made very good small talk/making us feel comfortable. LOVE! Thanks so much

The staff were so lovely , friendly and helpful. They made a fuss of me because it was my birthday and gave some lovely free samples. Also, great advice on where to go for cocktails !

I like lush products in general but the experience in this store was really stressful, I've stayed 4 minutes inside. I managed to enter the shop and was then just completely pressured by a member of staff. I was with one of my friend and it was so uncomfortable, for the both of us. We told this lady, 3 TIMES, that we just wanted to have a look around, but apparently listening to the customer is overrated. I get that she's just doing her job and well she's probably been taught to act like this, but listening to people in front of you would be a nice skill to acquire. I think we've been quite straightforward by saying that we wanted to browse peacefully. Anyway I got a 4 minutes speech about fairy dust products, it was long, and at the end I didn't buy the perfume that I came to purchase initially.

Worst lush i've ever been to in regards to the staff. Everyone knows what staff are like in lush or more so how they're told to act but someone is clearly implementing it here on a military level. I've visited many Lush shops throughout the country over around a decade. This is by far the most overbearing and anxiety provoking Lush that i've ever entered. Every single time I get swarmed by staff and showed completely irrelevant products to what I am interested in as if they work at car dealerships. I went in once simply looking to smell body scrubs and got harassed and forced into staying about half an hour to listen to a member of staff try and fob me off with a pointless tiny face spray for about £30. She tried to convinced me that it would actually do something and the 'chemistry' behind the product. Lush products don't do anything, just smell nice so you have to laugh at how much the staff try and act like qualified dermatologists. I think the issue is likely the small size of the store so you truly cannot escape members of staff. I particularly had the worst experience i've ever had in my life months back when I simply went in to get a massage bar for my partner. Soon as i walked in I got asked what i wanted and immediately a member of staff told me to sit down and she'd bring me stuff? what? I don't need help thank you. She continues to physically touch my arms with these massage bars without even asking if all this was okay. She went on for about an hour (yes that long) telling me where she lived and asking invasive questions etc. to the point it felt like I was actually being flirted with and was made to feel extremely uncomfortable. Then came the car salesman pitch with the random jotted in fairy dust or whatever they call it, pointless overpriced product again. she rubs this all over me and I have to go back home on public transport... thanks. I felt actually disturbed after this experience and avoided the store for a long while and could only enter with my partner as I felt harassed and targeted by that situation. I assumed she'd probably left recently due to the staff turnover so went in with hopes of not seeing her. Thankfully I didn't but instead just got followed and disturbed by other members of staff. I literally cannot go in this shop for 5 minutes because your staff force customers to stay for at least 30 minutes. Sort it out!! So many other negative reviews saying the same stuff about them, it needs dealing with.

Myself my son and my daughter came in today I asked Fleur what she would recommend for a girl going through Puberty. She asked my 12 yr old Daughter lots of questions and made us laugh she was caring and extremely helpful. She sat us down and explained and demonstrated all the products. She got us all involved and even got my 14 yr old son involved. I appreciate all the help and understanding. She is a real asset to your company. We are on holiday so may not return for awhile but next time we visit York we will pop in

I visited the York branch today and was helped by a lovely lady whose name I didn?t get, apologies, we had a chat about the England v Australia football result which had just happened. She helped with perfumes and hair products. I bought some Grass shower gel and was given some samples of shampoo including the new Tofu shampoo which I just opened and it is beautiful. Thank you so much! X

I went in to enquire about Lush Leave-In Conditioner following a recommendation from a friend. I was served by such a lovely person (I didn?t ask her name but she had a feminist pin badge on). I left with 4 tasters and a plan to buy the full product next week after payday all because of the wonderful service I received.

Had a lovely consultation by one staff member who made me feel very welcome, but the whole team that were in on 13/06/2023 were incredible making me and my dog Peggy feel at home. A beautiful Lush store and even more wonderful staff. Thank you again for your time!

Came in today for some bath bombs.Was greeted straight away & a young lady asked me what I was after so said bath bombs. She took me over to them & asked a few questions to determine what was needed. I explained I like to try new 1s so she showed me some new 1s that were in stock.Had some general chit chat at the till, which was niceWent away with 2 bath bombs. 1 I've had before & a super Mario 1.
