I see from a previous review that my experience was, sadly, all too on brand. One staff member was particularly rude, a very odd take on customer service, but I certainly will not be coming back. I urge everyone to miss it to avoid an unpleasant experience.

Superb cafe - food was excellent, interesting selections on the menu, with great choice for vegetarians, friendly staff. Well worth the 5 min walk from the town square! Unfortunately we spent too long in the cafe and the gardens were closed.Dog-friendliness: Welcomed a well behaved bedlington
A beautiful and historic five acre walled garden, open Wednesday to Sunday from 10am till 5pm (last entry 4pm) from 2nd March until 19th December. Enjoy beautiful displays of flowers, fruit and vegetables. Relax over a drink and lunch or have afternoon tea at The Vine House Café here at the Garden or browse in our Plant Centre for something for your garden.
Helmsley Walled Garden is a charity providing opportunities for therapeutic horticulture for all. Everyone's mental health and physical wellbeing is improved by gardening, being outdoors and even simply spending time in a green space.
