Had terrible experience. AVOID AVOIDhad a repair booked through samsung over 5 weeks ago now. Lack of communication between themselves. Don't kno where to start really. Unprofessional no communication.Will be contacting Samsung about them too don't kno how they managed to get in as side kick with Samsung.If Samsung did not jump in I would never bought any Samsung product again.Was told told many times at stat we expecting your part this week or today its in delivery...after I was not convinced I was told they have had a problem with local courier who will start delivering again soon.Had enough got Samsung to deal with it now seeing results.Samsung had emailed them to send my TV bracket back. Called yday they said engineer is currently removing it will post out today.Called today they had look through notes and said engineer not removed bracket yet. They clearly from my experience don't speak to one another.Just be prepaid to do a lot of chasing up and be fobbed off if your tv goes to them. The return days are shocking too will offer you late return dates before they can get back with your tv due to engineer not working in your area.I must point out the engineers who visited my house to remove tv were kind polite and professional.

Just had our Samsung TV repaired by DBS (Samsung's service partner in our area). As it was only 15 months old and just out of warranty, Samsung honoured the repair as a goodwill gesture. Once DBS had the parts, they came and fixed it within a week. Overall we had a good experience with both Samsung and DBS. The guys who came to make the repair where on time and where friendly and personable. They did not take long as they simply brought a replacement panel. All done in 30 mins with no mess. ?Would recommend based on our experience.

Arranged for a repair and was told it would be an A.M. appointment and someone would call when they were on the way. Nobody called. Nobody turned up. Complained to Richer Sounds as these are contractors for them and DBS lied to them about the appointment time. Useless and untrustworthy.

This is not the same dbs the police check-that is something else.This is an electricals repair company based in York that John Lewis work with for repairs if your TV is under warranty. You can also call them directly if your item is no longer under warranty. The charges are very reasonable, particularly when compared with another large chain electrical store.The lady I spoke to on the phone was very helpful and knowledgeable as were her colleagues who collected the TV. However, do remind them to show you paper work first to evidence the collection in case they forget. Secondly, make sure walls fittings are removed from the TV completely in case you need it disposed off as it will be less hassle later.Please read my reviews to see my comments on other local businesses.

Who ever Mary is she has a bad attitude and very sarky towards customers defiantly shouldn?t be in a customer service job she is simply there for a pay check no compassion towards her job I sent my tv off for repair they don?t even fix the problem then leave me without a tv for another week ?because there not in my area until Monday? what kind of an excuse is thatShoddy insurance company take your money then make you wait weeks to properly fix your tv after multiple try?sIf I didn?t pay for it upfront and get trapped with them I would cancel and take it out with a different companyNow has another problem witch it did not have before it went there when the tv has black on the screen it has green around the edge of the tv like a watermarkRoy

Sony replacing TV DBS got the Job to deliver and set up. I rang DBS on the Tuesday receptionist very helpful said Sony not delivering TV to them till the Thursday and DBS would deliver to me on the Friday. Sure enough Friday morning DBS arrived and set up the new TV so for me it was an excellent service from all concerned.

LED backstrip died on my Samsung TV, DBS insisted they needed to replace the entire screen for £500 "As it's the same part".For anyone with the same problem. It's not the same part. They clearly lied in order to markup the cost of repair. (LED Backstrips are a seperate part costing around £70 + Labour)Would recommend CGTVyork for Samsung Repairs, decent quote for repair.

Avoid at all costs! Our 3 year old Toshiba TV was supposed to get repaired under its 6 year 'warranty' from richer sounds. The blokes whom picked it up, 'threw' the TV in the back of a filthy unmarked Renault van, unwrapped with other TV's and took it away. DBS phoned us two days later to say the TV was repaired, they brought it back and guess what, the same problem (black marks on the screen) was still there. No one had had bothered to test the TV after a so called 'repair' had been carried out!DBS collected the TV again, the guys walked in our house on our new lounge carpet with their shoes on, and insisted it was plugged in for them to 'see' the problem. They saw the problem (strangely the same problem as before) and took the TV away again. DBS phoned us two days later to say they were bringing in back on a Thursday. The day before they were due to return the TV, DBS phoned again to say that they were not bringing the TV back as it had failed the 'test' with the same symptoms, which resulted in the TV being 'written off'. What a load of rubbish this lot are, if your TV goes here, good luck. I reckon David Blunkett with a soldering iron would have done a better repair! AVOID!

Came today to put a new screen on the TV left the barcode in the middle of the screen and left the wires hanging out of the trunking wouldn't recommend at all
