Had a cut and blow dry at this salon today for the first time. I was really impressed. Emma was so lovely and made the experience wonderful. I have long, thick, curly hair so it does take a bit more time and patience but Emma was fab and made me feel very comfortable. Plus I would go back purely for her head massage!

Never had my hair coloured before so was worried I wouldn?t like it. But I was wrong! Chloe who does my hair did it exactly how I asked. Love it x

I love getting my hair done at Contemporary in Yarm! Everyone in your salon is so smiley & friendly?it?s instantly relaxing. Becca is a star & she always ensures I leave the salon feeling a million dollars. Emma has also styled my hair & I can equally recommend her expertise also. Thank you all so much! I booked an appt for my daughter advised it would need to be after school so booked a 4.30 appt and paid a £25 deposit. I advised the lady that she had received a 50% discount via text messaging with no expiry date to which she said was fine and to show on the day when paying. I had to pop in to get her colour swab behind her ear as getting a colour so the lady who did this advised could we change the appt to 4.15pm which was fine. My daughter arrived on time for her appt to be told it was booked for 2.15 and she?s missed her appt and won?t be getting her deposit. She explained it was 4.15 they reluctantly agreed to book her back in and agreed to honour her deposit towards her next appt but had to pay a further £25. I phoned them as I was told twice the appt times the woman I spoke to was none apologetic and had an attitude and basically told me I was wrong they don?t book appts that late and I was lucky they were honouring her deposit as she missed her appt which we did not. She arrived for her appt which to be fair was a good hair cut but when she showed her 50% discount the manager refused to honour it. The whole experience has been terrible there customer service in none existent and I won?t be going back again.

I made a last minute appointment on the website , paid the £25 deposit and was leaving work early , when I got a phone call saying they had a "walkin" customer and were cancelling mine . Refunded my card and I have to wait for my money . Not what I would expect from a customer service based business.

I booked a cut and blow dry online for short hair 4 weeks prior to the appointment and paid the full amount as requested.When I arrived at the salon the receptionist said the stylist only cuts long hair and nobody else was available who could cut short hair despite the salon being empty. I said it was a special occasion as it was my 60th birthday but it made no difference and I was asked to make another appointment.I asked for a refund but was made to wait 5 days. The service was appalling and I?ll never set foot in the place again. It doesn?t even deserve 1 star but the process doesn?t allow.
