Absolutely fabulous meal with exceptional service. Our meal on Saturday night was delicious from beginning to end. The tomato garlic bread starter was really tasty, followed by the best linguini di mare I have ever had - packed with shell fish and utterly divine. My partner had tagliatelle pollo which she again described as the best she?d ever had previously. The service was faultless and very engaging and helpful. We have earmarked this restaurant as one we will return to again without a doubt!

Went into the restaurant at 1.30pm to have lunch with friends It was really busy but we were still looked after well The food was excellent I ate off the lunch menu the calamari was beautifully done and I had the pepperoni pizza which was good too My friend had the goats cheese salad and said it was delicious Our fellas both ad the seafood linguine and that was good too Would highly recommend the restaurant we have been a few times never disappointed Our friends said they would also visit again Staff are friendly and helpful ?? ???????? We had a lovely meal at this restaurant. The food was such good quality, and the portions were generous. The pizza is beautiful, not stodgy like some places. Prices were very reasonable, and the staff really make the place sparkle. They are so lovely, and entertaining.

We were visiting the Christmas markets and fancied an Italian nearby so we picked this one just a short walk from the main crowds we were seated straight away by the window lovely views watching people pass by all Christmassy .The menu has some regular good Italian choices albeit not extensive , We ordered drinks and shared a meatball starter which was delicious the sauce was as good as I?ve tasted in ischia Italy then a calzone and pepperoni pizza both nice and crispy and tasty we asked for a pomoddore sauce for the calzone and they dully obliged. We really enjoyed this restaurant and will definitely come again when we are in York

Very pleasant personal service . I went in for a pre Carol service meal and I have a fair few food intolerances . They were happy to accommodate and made me feel welcome . Lovely old building , very close to the minster . The food was well presented , not overpriced and piping hot . I would happily return with family and friends .

Myself, my partner and 2 year old child recently visited la pizza antica during a day visit to york. The staff were wonderful helping set up a highchair, store our push chair and often stopped at our table to say hi to our little one and entertain her throughout the meal. We ate lunch from their set menu and were delighted at the varied selection of dishes. My partner had goats cheese starter and pizza pepperoni for main. I had the calamari starter and lasagne main while our little one ate off our plates and enjoyed a side of fries. The food was fresh, served quickly and was delicious. This meal was undoubtedly one of the best italian meals we have had in the UK. I would wholeheartedly recommend it. The restaurant itself was beautiful, quiet to say it was in a city center and calm. 10/10.

We had a fabulous night here. The food was delicious and not too expensive which is hard to find, especially in the centre of York. The staff were so friendly too. We went here to celebrate my graduation and had two courses along with some coffee at the end. No meal disappointed. We had the best time and Lydia, our server, was kind, informative and is a credit to the restaurant. Thank you so much for making my graduation extra special.

Went for an impromptu visit to York and called in here for a quick bite to eat and have to say everything about this place was amazing. The food, the staff, the atmosphere couldn?t have asked for anything better. I had Brazino al Limone and the other half had the spaghetti bolognese both meals were 5 star, starters and dessert also 5 star. If you are in York I would highly recommend a visit here.

We stumbled upon this place. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted and shown to our table. The food, drinks and service were all impeccable. I highly recommend the Miso Frito and lamb cutlets. Can?t wait to go again.

What a great place! I had a lovely baby shower and a leaving do there with friends and the service was exceptional, the staff were fantastic and made our nights even more special. Food is excellent and the atmosphere just couldn't be any better. Special thanks to our waiters, Diego and Gianfranco, who went above and beyond to make sure we have the best night, also to Dennis for being so helpful with organising both events. Great work, thank you all!

Spent a few days in the enemy county of Yorkshire. Luckily..I had the jabs and took some tablets so this Lancy lad suffered no effects. Won't bore you with a long winded review..so.. Food...magnificent. Service..top class. Staff..perfect. Ambience..perfect x2. What I'm trying to say is...if you don't have a meal here..it could be one of your life's biggest mistakes!

We came to this restaurant on Tuesday evening for a work do. We were greeted by a very friendly staff and shown to our table. Drinks order was taken promptly. We all had different dishes including one from the vegan menu. All excellent and cooked to perfection! Sadly we haven?t tried any of the desserts as we were just too full. We will definitely return.
