They are often closed because they can't get a pharmacist which means you can't rely on regular service. When they are open the staff are pleasant.Their shelves are not well supplied either.

Very slow service, had to ask for menus. Had a baked potato with langoustine tails and Marie Rose sauce. I'm pretty certain the langoustine were fake surumi things. They tasted awful anyway Coffee was fine. Toilets are upstairs. Won't go again.

Looked a bit neglected inside but the waitress was friendly. No menus anywhere to be seen so had to go and ask for one. We thought the food was expensive £12ish for a breakfast with two of everything which we can get in Wetherspoons for half that including as many hot drinks as you like. Jacket potato with beans and cheese was about £7.50 and small pork and stilton sausage rolls £4.50 each. They were nice but could have been bigger. The hot drinks were OK though. Would probably try elsewhere next time we are in Swaffham.

We all are lunch and the food was great and very reasonably priced, I thought. Coffees all fine too and staff were pleasant and accommodating. The only thing that stood out was the slowness of queueing to order, ordering, waiting for the order... Had I known just how much waiting would have been involved, I'd have driven on to my destination. Let's not blame the staff entirely here - I feel it was mixture of the time of day (1pm) and the sudden rush of wealthy looking retired customers, all sour faced and disregarding of their co-sour faced customers. And all taking an age to browse menu whilst holding up the queue. Having said that, the speed on totting up orders on calculators, processing the queue, and bringing food out was slow. Let's just say the food and drinks were great but avoid if the place is busy.

Just passing Swaffham and stopped and had a look around. We decided to have a bite to eat and it was exceptional, the freshest brown bread with thick cut ham on the bone with tomato and accompanied with salad, peppers, carrot and salad dressing and a BLT sandwich also with the same salad. They were the best sandwiches we have ever had, accompanied with 2 large coffees made it a very pleasant experience.

Attractive looking building with lots of tables outside and seating indoors too. Dog friendly. Placed our order at the counter and sat outside in the sunshine. We both had breakfast sandwiches of egg & sausage with granary bread. Nicely cooked and the sausage was a lovely flavour. Coffee was good.

We stopped in Swaffham while on our way to the coast and spotted the Market Cross Cafe Bar which fortunately had a free table outside. It's dog friendly so we could sit with our spaniel (virtually all the customers had a dog of some sort) in the sun. We enjoyed some very generous sandwiches in good quality bread plus some perfect chips. To drink we had some cold beers (they are licensed) and good coffee. Service was quick and prices were very reasonable. Inside it looked very cosy so it would also be a good venue on a wet day.

We visited early afternoon and opted for a light 'lunch' of cappucinos and chips. The cafe is dog-friendly but we chose to sit outside anyway, in the sunshine, with our dog. Easily the nicest setting in Swaffham centre. Service was friendly and prompt.

We visited the market in Swaffham and needed a refreshment. It was warm and sunny and the Market Cross Cafe Bar provided an excellent location. The coffee was OK, the bacon and egg sandwiches great, the service good, but most of all the terrace outside was great.

Came here a couple of years back. Today we returned and it was just as good! Lovely fruit scone with lashings of cream and jam, hubby had a chunk of carrot cake. Their peppermint tea is the best I?ve tasted. Definitely will return!

Lovely little cafe stopped as travelling though, had a lovely coffee and pot of tea, together with scones and cream. Service was excellent, staff very friendly. Would stop again.
