A gorgeous day out for little ones, family, friends and even couples! The train goes for around 45 from Aylsham to Wroxham with a 15 minute change and then you can come back! Perfect if you don't have enough time to explore the towns the other end although highly recommended. Dog friendly too!!

First time visiting Bure Valley Railway and would return. Our two year old loved the experience, as did I. Everyone was friendly, free parking and coaches were in good nick. Would return. My only feedback would be to have an hour at Wroxham (instead of 30 mins) so you have enough time to work into the town.

Fresh and delicious cakes before boarding the train for our trip to Wroxham

Often go to the cafe for some lunch. A good variety of light lunches, nicely prepared and tasty. Cake is good also. Shop has a large selection of mainly train related toys and some other smaller items.

This is a really lovely extremely well maintained railway with shop, selling souvenirs and model trains and an extensive cafe. The steam trains are highly polished and very well maintained. The carriages are large enough for two side by side or better sitting opposite each other.A super trip through the countryside and small stations before landing at Wroxham.

Wow we were lucky! On the way out we were the only people on board. We were greeted by lovely staff and shown to our carriage. On the way to Wroxham we were at the back of the train. On the way we were joined by another couple who were supposed to be in another carriage but for some reason decided to sit in ours and talk non-stop the whole way back. Why they chose to sit on our carriage when they could have had one to themselves and had booked seats for a separate carriage! But this was out of Bure Valley's control at the time.I would't want to board this during peak season with lots of kids but in quieter times it was magical! It's such a quaint little steam train and it really is a must do if you're in the area! Really glad we chose to do this one over the other's in the area. We have done NNR and this is much better in my opinion! I know they're different but for a steam train experience I would recommend this one.

One of my bucket list tick?.Almost 9 miles journey. I'd suggest to bring a bottled water and some snacks with you. It will be a quite long walk and few stops to appreciate nature. The rest is like a never ending walk? that you wish you've hadn't done, tbh.Make sure that you got company or some people walking with you. I've done it with my 2 and half years old boy on his pram.I managed to do some foraging mushrooms and berries. And a train back to Aylsham. For me, it's worth it. And no more next time. ?

We had a lovely afternoon enjoying the Norfolk Broads from the miniature steam train, travelling along the track bed of a former full size railway line. The journey is about an hour each way with lovely scenery. The station and footplate staff were very friendly. The cream tea at Aylsham station is very good.

Great family day out! We made the most of Grandparents day (a free ride for a grandparent!) and enjoyed the journey from Aylsham to Wroxham, returning later that day! Both stations are beautifully looked after, with gift shop, toilets and ticket office available. Great parking too!Fab day out, would definitely recommend for train fans young and old!

Loved this experience. We went from Wroxham to Aylesham, we will be back to do this in reverse. The Morris dancers were at Wroxham when we arrived and then they came back with us on the train, singing as we rode which was lovely ?I would highly recommend this experience. The footpath alongside the track was lovely with wonderful distance markers made out of metal that have heads of wildlife on top of them.

Well worth a visit if you are in Norfolk. I had never been on a narrow guage trsin before. It is a scaled down, fully functioning railway with both steam and diesel engines.

Loved it. Little narrow gauge passenger railway. Good cafe and possibly the best model railway shop I've ever seen.

Lovely journey. The station and rolling stock are clearly cherished. Everything is clean and well maintained.Welcoming, friendly staff greeted us. Our dog was treated to snacks and lots of fuss.Advanced booking advised.
