Came in just to change my address (because the app didn't work) and they tried to emotionally blackmail me into buying life insurance using my baby, while repeating 'cost of living crisis'. Changing my bank as soon as I can.

Terrible! Spent all morning attempting to get through on the phone (not for the first time), no luck so went into the Southport branch. Asked for a copy of a bank statement to be sent to my new address as a from of ID, was told to just print it at home "it's the exact same thing," I explained I didn't think that this would be enough, was still told to just print it at home... It is not the same thing, I will have to make the half hour drive back to Southport to request this again tomorrow. Be more informed and listen to your customers!!!

Apart from service counter closes at 2pm, Southport branch ok very few staff though only 2 in store that I could see.

Shocking, you can't get in touch for love nor money. The chat function on the app apologised for not understanding me and the call option was automated and just repeatedly asked for my details. Have now been trying to close my account for the last 30 mins whilst in a 15 minute call waiting queue.

impossible to speak to the branch.personally, i would avoid banking here, other banks are much easier to work with.

I wish Barclays would go back to what they were 50 years ago. I cannot believe a bank at 1030am on weekday has one person working there. I waited for 20 plus minutes to ask one question which took 1Minute to answer. Appalling service I feel sorry for the young man who spent most of his time apologising .Raise your game Southport branchPity I can't give you no stars
