What sn earth has gone on with the food here ? We have eaten here many times but today my lasagne was cold so I sent it back. It came back chopped up, bit of cheese added and heated. It was dry and just mush. The childrens food was over cooked and dry. The last time we came in we had the full English breakfast, that was terrible too. Deep fried and re-heated rubbish.

Me & my husband went here this evening & its the worst place we have even eaten at, the food took forever even though we pre ordered because it was a group booking, then when the food actually came it was disgusting especially the chicken burger & fries, the chicken burger &the fries were dry & really hard, so many people had complained about their meals. Stay clear of this place.

Food here was absolutely disgusting. You could see it was farmfood, frozen veg the potatoes were small burnt and really hard instead of doing the Christmas turkey properly. It was done under the grill and went really hard. Overall it was disgusting including the stuffing which was just rolled into a ball Literally you could throw it to the wall and it would stick. Don?t even get me started on the pudding. All of us got a pudding apart from two which missed out on putting and twice they brought out the wrong food putting also the pudding that I chose was not lemon. It was more like yellow mash, it was disgusting. Everything was just horrible. Even the table was cramped and the chairs were mixed and matched. And there was no health and safety when it came to the wacky warehouse you had to look after your own children. In there, my opinion it should?ve been closed. The grabbing machines took your money and didn?t even work properly. Overall the whole place is dated and disgusting and the toilets stunk of piss and the toilet bowls were disgustingly dirty. You should?ve seen the radiator in the toilet. It was that black and rusty a horrible place, I would never go to again, we paid a good few hundred pound here over £500 for Christmas dinner will never be going again. Didn?t help how snotty the staff were.

Used to enjoy going to this pub for some food, but since they got a new chef the food quality seems to have gone downhill.Took my 2 kids here for breakfast with santa on the weekend and it was overwhelmingly disappointing.Firstly we had booked for a 10am breakfast so arrived at the wacky for a play at 9am only to be told the breakfast wouldn't be served until 10.30am. My 2 children are autistic and changes to plans like this last minute can really upset them. The music in the wacky was way too loud for that time in the morning and a large group of very rambunctious children made the wacky intolerable for my children by 9.30 meaning we had to somehow burn an hour of time elsewhere. We were welcomed by Donna, the only saving grace on this day - absolutely brilliant woman, she should be running this place! She offered us to go the pub early and offered to bring the children's breakfasts out without waiting. Myself and my husband decide to wait for the official start time for our own breakfasts of the breakfast with santa event which would turn out to be a huge mistake. The children's breakfasts were nice. The child's full English was a good portion and my daughter enjoyed it. The toast came with rock solid butter however, which was completely unspreadable and the toast wasn't warm so the butter had zero chance to melt so thank god for jam!The waffles and crispy bacon went down a treat with my son.It got to 10.30 when the event began, by which time myself and my husband were famished. We then watched as the entire pub were served their breakfast one by one. So from arriving in the pub at 9.30am, it was now 11.20am and we still had no adult breakfasts! Anyone else would have walked out.We asked and asked and were told 'yours is next' only to see the server take food to other tables for another 10 minutes. Then the food arrived. After waiting over 45 minutes from the event start time, and everyone else having eaten theirs. My oh my. Where do I begin? The full English was lacking sausages which we had to request as they had been forgotten, the toast was completely burnt to a crisp, rock hard butter again, uncooked snotty eggs and about 2 teaspoons of beans.Waiting so long for food so bad put a real damper on the day. Then it was time to see Santa. Last year we came here for this event and it was brilliant but this year was a shambles. Our 5 year old said immediately upon seeing Santa "that's a man dressed up, I can see his real beard underneath". She is 5. That's how bad the costume was. I don't know who chose this guy for this role, but it seemed as though he had never met a child in his life. He didn't know what to say or how to act, and lacked any enthusiasm. The "gift" of santa was a lackluster activity book which my kids quickly discarded.Donna, who runs the wacky who was dressed as an elf was the best part of the day. She was full of life, getting the kids excited, chatting with us, trying to fix our messed up food... if it wasn't for her attentativeness we'd have left.We requested a partial refund and will not be going back unless its just for the wacky for the children. So disappointing.

I was recently in this restaurant with my children and my husband. the waitress behaved completely inappropriately. she repeated several times that I should take the child because he touched the gifts. she brought us sauce for the dish when we had already finished our dinner. in the end, she made remarks to my children, although there were many children there, and she did not make remarks to them. she told me not to put the child on the chair, although before that there was another child running around who was also sitting on the chair. at the end I said that I will not come there again and she replied happy days. I will never visit this restaurant again. several times she made the same remark, although we understood after the first time. she ruined the evening we wanted to spend with our family. Hope it can help to another people to not visit this place.

Came in for breakfast with a few work colleagues and it was lovely coming into such a Christmassy pub already. Was slightly disappointed when I didn't see black pudding on the breakfast but the ginger lad behind the bar told me I could add it on. Amazing, definitely my new go

Wish we had read the reviews before going tonight!!We went for a family meal, the place was completely empty apart from one gentleman having a pint.Took ages for the girl behind the bar to acknowledge us and then we were asked to wait while she completed filling up the coffee machine !Drinks ordered and then food ordering was confusing, food unavailable but then suddenly available.Garlic mushrooms and nachos for starters.....the mushrooms looked like they had been dehydrated and then drowned in garlic butter....the nachos over fried and slapped in a dish , small amount of nacho cheese, too much sour cream. The mains.....every main looked dry, overcooked and totally unappealing. How any cook/ chef could send those out and think it was acceptable needs to rethink their job choice. After complaining about the extremely well done steak ( should have been medium rare) we were told that meat products are supplied cooked and then reheated for service. It was then that we askef for a refund....we didn't even attempt to eat the food.No apology was given. We will never return....anybody reading this, save yourself a disappointment and choose to eat elsewhere.

The food was terrible. First time coming here and I will certainly not be coming back again. Which is a shame because its a great location and the kids play area was a nice bonus.I ordered fish and chips. It was tastless and super dry. I've had better and MORE fish in a kids serving of fish fingers at other similar priced restaurants.Ordered a side of gravy, that was the consistency of water. My toddlers are have made nicer food...I am not one to complain. However my partner did inform staff who shrugged it off and didn't even attempt at any dialog. So service was as terrible as the fish.

Great place for a cheap meal. Always empty so have no problem getting a seat. Service is great, great prices and mostly great food.Only thing stopping a 5 star review is, the food be hit and miss. Can come one week and the food be absolutely fantastic, next week it can be completely different.Free onsite parking, whacky warehouse and massive outdoor park for the lil ones and wheel chair accessible.Parking: Loads of free onsite parking. Car park is well lit of an evening.Kid-friendliness: Wacky warehouse and big outdoor play area.Wheelchair accessibility: Wide door and minimal steps.

Had to send our food back for a refund. We came here as a family of 3 after picking our Christmas tree nearby. Ordered chips for our daughter and 2 burger sliders from the mains with soft drinks and a cup of tea.Every burger was completely burnt through, had to send it back. Inedible!!! We were offered to re-doo them with the instruction not to burn the dinner this time but we opted for our money back. Was refunded the two mains and we paid for our drinks and chips.Place looks completely run down from the inside. Such a shame, visited many a hungry horse pub in the past. Won't be returning to this one.

Halloween party in the Wacky was really good for the kids. Donna, Paisley and Tiffany were so entertaining and really interacted with the children. They decorated amazingly as well!
