I love the opening hours here....open late until 8.45pm for post office counter. Very convenient. Sometimes there are short queues, only to be expected. Last week I walked out after seeing a customer with a whole trolley full of about 30 parcels holding everyone else up. In situations like this the customer should have the common sense to step aside until people in the queue with single items get served. Staff should advise such customers to do just that until there is no queue. I would much rather go here than a main post office.

I took a parcel for posting on 26.8.20, I paid £7.21 for postage. 1 week later the parcel came back through my front door. I took it back to Whiston P.O, they said I have to pay again ( I had the receipt with full posting details on). I came home with my parcel and no refund ( they will not refund). I emailed the post office... they do not respond. I telephoned the post office customer services line, it redirects to Royal Mail. Royal Mail say, we are not the post office, we cannot do anything, you have to go back to the post office.. I am dizzy from going round in circles. I have spent time and money emailing and phoning and I am no further on. Whiston Post office are useless... It is their mistake but they do not want to know. Why on earth can they not just put the parcel back in the post. The assistant clearly never put the label on and they will not refund. Do not go to Whiston Post office if you are expecting normal service because the service is totally abnormal.. I cannot believe I have been told to pay again because of their error which, by the way, they acknowledged that is was their error but said I have to email or telephone for a refund which is completely untrue because over a week later... I am still £7.21 out of pocket and I still do not know how to obtain a refund from the post office.In addition, I have been telephoning directly to Whiston Post office but the number rings for some time and then cuts off... no reply at all. This is the worst customer service I have experienced...and it is all due to Whiston Post office incompetent staff.. How can you take a parcel from someone and not bother to put the label on and then not give a refund. It doesn't make any sense.... I have since purchased a label online from another postal company and sent it myself. I will avoid using the post office in future and I will not visit Whiston Post office again because of their indifference and incompetence. They are not interested in the customer and the Post office policy is clearly designed to make the customer want to go elsewhere.

Iv had no problems with Winston post office I send parcels to Italy frequently theve been very helpful and told me the cheapest way to send them theve been great !!I hope it hasn't closed prescot closes at 3pm due to illness tea time is best for me so it's a godsend for me !!

Staff member extremely rude when my mother tried to send a parcel just now. I am currently unwell and asked my Mum to return some unwanted vitamins for me. I failed to tell her what she was returning for me and she was given the third degree before the staff member accepted the parcel. She was asked if its destination was GB even the though the address label clearly stated where it was going. I will not be using their services again and I will be telling friends and family to avoid. Bring back the CoOperative/MacColls staff

I had same experience as review before me. Advertised 9-22 for parcels that's why I chose this pick-up point. However, because of lack of trained staff they are unable to hand me the parcel. Contacted support who said 'Sorry. There is nothing we can do.' Unhelpful staff. Will never use again and recommend against it.

USELESS!!! AVIOD!!! Ran by Bargain Booze never any TRAINED! staff. It appears to be an inconvenience to them to be helpful. Advertised on post office site & AMAZON as open 7am-10pm.....NOT TRUE! VERY UNHELPFUL & and RUDE!! Rather use AMAZON LOCKER at least they open!!

Walked in to find the post office was shut even though itâ??s advertised open till 8, not a single member of staff in sight to ask
