Absolutely shocking service received from Matalan head office received within the last 8 days.I'm not sure what is more shocking- the lack of service, or lack of common sense from staff. Particuarly 'Calvin' and 'Nakita'- both 'team leaders', but it seems more like the blind leading the blind.Multiple promises made by both individuals, and none were kept.I received a hilarious response from Nakita whilst speaking to her on the PHONE. She stated: ''I have no means here at the office, to make that call''- I'm not sure if you're aware Nakita, but your currently using a phone to speak to myself? I believe this shows you definitely have the means. What she meant to say was, this isn't our usual way to communication with the other team, and I am not willing to do that.This is by far the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my whole life.Matalan- do better. You could start by hiring people that actually do their job.

I ordered online on 27/04/23, I waited two weeks no parcel arrived, I contacted via telephone and was told the goods had been delayed in the post, and to expect a parcel in, two to three days, no parcel arrived. one week later again I contacted via telephone to request a refund, I was told it would be processed in two, to three days.six days later I call again as still no Paypal refund??? I am still hanging on the line to Matalan while they look into it but say refunds are taking a long time... WHY Paypal take the money instantly ???My first and last time of using Matalan online

Logged a email complaint concerning their customer care and how bad things was .They still have not responded they don?t care when I rang up as they only deal with online and not store . So I can see them going bump soon or within two years time ..

Terrible customer service .So bad I wouldn't even give it one star .Parcel missing from courier and 5 phone calls ,too many e mails to count , Facebook messages and still haven't got either my clothes or my 135 pounds .They don't seem to.have an active social media team.as they simply don't reply .I suspect the CS is outsourced to Asia or similar .What you get for that is a customer service team who simply don't care .Do not shop here online or otherwise .It's not worth the hassle

Terrible customer service, ordered items and did not receive them, phoned to get refund and they just kept pushing it on day by day, saying they were waitingfor delivery firm to contact them, just kept sending same email every day passing book on to delivery firm.I will never use them again.

My daughter who is anorexic and suffers mental health issues went into matalan in Boston uk. Wanting a skirt for an interview. She approached 2 larger women to ask if they had the skirt in a size 6. ?. No we don?t. No one your size comes here , try the children section ?. Were there repliesAbsolutely disgraceful. It made my daughter feel terrible and very insecure. I will be talking to the manager there about these awful women and head office.

Wow. We are ok delivery of a smashed dinner set that the lovely lady from Hermes had taped and Matalan refused the help us, charged for the full amount and left us with 60%of the goods . Refused to replace or refund. Even with pictures. Disgrace! They really do not care and just want your money .
