Went to the bank to deposit for my daughter,who is in Australia and has been sent a cheque. The only way I can put it in her account is at the counter. I work full time and took time off this afternoon to deposit the cheque and the bank the bank was closed ,when I checked last night it said 4.30 but it now closes at 3pm, I got there at 3.05. very inconvenient for people who work. Our local branch has closed and Lord Street is the nearest but totally out of my way. A wasted journey. Branches could stay open later. I now have to make another journey into the City Centre Very frustrating. If there is another way I can put this cheque in my daughter's account ,I would have done

Inconvenient opening hours, not ideal for the working class. All banks on the high street close after 4pm, ideally 5pm, but this branch closes at 3pm.Please reassess the hours to make it more accessible to full time workers.

Awful bank, few staff, and a complete waste of time. For anything they make you go "upstairs" where there's a long queue of people waiting for a young inexperience lady in a tiny desk figuring out how to help people, taking really long time whereas the area is full of people waiting in a steam-hot room. Twice I had to go just to make a transfer, and twice it's been a total and completely waste of my time.

Had a few issues where the machine rejected my notes due to a fault. The staff at first didn't seem interested, tried again and they eventually explained the issue and deposited the money back. No apology or understanding which was a shame.

Nice Bank and newly renovated..Unfortunately my experience was negative as it took me 36min to change £5 coins in to note and deposit it in to my account.All this could of been avoided if one of the staff (that I've approached) would of been simple and smart enough to go to the counter and change coins in to note and I would of use the machine.Or even better solution would of been to have a 2/3 coins machines that count coins and directly deposits it in to a personal account, like other competitors brans do.Barclays had them and still have now, but the coins part are sealed for some reason and unusable.Why is that?

Some staff were very helpful. But, one of the blatantly ignored my husband and I as if I were invisible. It's a shame such a place with a history of slavery. But some attitudes to people pf colour have not changed. Typical of the KARENS of the world.
