Like other people writing reviews i went to barnados bebington just as the door was locked for the evening with a large binliner packed full of my daughters old soft toys . The lady told me to GO AWAY WE ARE CLOSED ..i shouted i wanted to donate these toys , and again told to GO AWAY ..so i put the toys back in the boot of my car with the intention of donating them to a different charity shop . Rude and inconsiderate , only wanting to go home and sod anyone trying to help them make money ..i will never donate to barnados again !!!

The friendliness you get in AGE CONCERN up the street is NON-EXISTENT in this shop. Also, their prices are obscene. If anything is remotely "designer" the price goes through the roof, regardless of what condition it is in i.e. pair of worn out ug boots £30.00!! Ooh, but they are Uggs! Used Clarks boots £10 !!. They get this stuff for free! You just know they are looking at Ebay as a price guide but what they fail to acknowledge is that a seller on Ebay can put any crazy price they want but more importantly - did that item sell at that price! All over an unpleasant experience. Head office really needs to have a word with the manager as they are charging London prices without the benefit of people having London paychecks.

If you are to shop here please be aware the manageress has far more than a chip on her shoulder. She is beyond rude and arrogant and speaks to people like dirt. Barnardo's is an amazing company / organisation that helps many and does a wonderful job, how this woman is allowed to represent them is beyond me. If you think this review is s little ott please shop and watch her people skills.

I have always taken items to this shop, but was very disappointed when I took over 20 new and nearly new books, for them to sell. As I needed the bag back, I asked if I should unpack them and leave them with other items at the side of the counter. I was told no, they need to go in the back, so she took the bag off me, stepped into the back room and tipped the whole bag upside down so the books landed on the floor. Considering I have always looked after our items, it's a shame the items I donate don't appear to be looked after or appreciated....

I never really write reviews but I was so annoyed on leaving this shop. This morning after having a clear out at home thought that I'd take our Unwanted items to this shop, I was met with a rude and miserable lady working what I think was 2 young girls volunteering, there wasn't so much as a smile or thank you. In fact when I tried to explain what one of the items was she informed me they would bin it as they don't sell car seats and it was a raincovers for one. Which is fair enough but her manner was appalling. Never again will I leave items or buy from this shop. People skills were non existent!!!!

Rude staff. Took some items in and firstly was ignored and then barely got a thank you so I took the items back and found took them to another shop where they were friendly and appreciative. Not impressed.
