Granny Maud recently made a memory quilt for me and what can I say except thank you so much for a beautifully crafted pattern that I’m certain will become an heirloom.I can’t post a photo because it hasn’t yet been given to the recipient of this fabulously poignant and personal piece.

Quilting to find a cure.
My Dad was lost in an Icelandic snowstorm during the second World War. A local family rescued him and they became firm friends. After he returned home I was born and in my teens began a friendship with a girl from the family. She now has a granddaughter with a rare illness known as AHC for which there is as yet no cure.
I sell my individual professional quality crafts to raise funds for the research into this illness, helped by my husband, the Old Grump . In a way I am paying back what they did for my family. After all without them I would not be here!
