Smart shop shelf was empty. At the checkout Nectar card not recognised. Staff apologised and requested to go to customer service. The terrible experience starts. While waiting at the queue, couple of customers were treated out of turn by the staff! May be they were there for some order collect but what about customers waiting in queue? The staff scanned my Nectar card, points assigned and gone to other counter while I was expecting price corrections. I had to call the staff back and ask for price refund as I would have paid less if the Nectar card worked at the till. So the staff asked me to come to other counter. Now the staff asked what items were on discount for Nectar. I said as customer I bought many items and do not recollect what item has discount and how much is the discount. I was shocked when I got rude answer ? I can not go to shelf and check discount for each item?!!!I did not expect the staff to do that. Am I as customer expected to remember what items are on discount?I said this problem could have been avoided if the smart shop scanners were there. So I was told ?you should have come and asked me? !!!! So it was my mistake that the smart shop scan shelf was empty. Staff expect me to stand in queue at customer service and request to get a scanner???Out of sheer disgust I returned all items and went to newly opened Tesco nearby. The staff was nice and polite, the self service till machines worked as expected.

A delightful shopping experience was had, with staff who were both cheerful and eager to assist. Sainsbury's, along with the Wolverhampton location, truly excels in this regard.

Very limited selection, what there was poorly stocked. Probably the most 'unfortunate' Sainsbury's I've visited.

Some good discounts in Tu clothes sale. Long queues in self service checkouts but only 2 manned tills out of 10

Very clean shop and well stocked. Parking is extensive and you can purchase petrol. The members of staff that I encountered didn't seem to be over friendly. In my opinion, the customer service is very basic. My question was answered but I felt that the member of staff was bored and couldn't be bothered. Unfortunately, I've encountered this in most Sainsbury's shops. I do feel that the fault lies with Sainsbury's management. There are, however, a few friendly and helpful staff.

This place is heavily let down by customer service member Adam "Big Head" Modan. He was by far the worst member of staff at Waitrose where he worked before. Now he's spreading his misery here. He's cold like a psychopath. Thanks for the protection Sainsbury's.
