David Lloyd Leicester Meridian is one of the best gyms in Leicester. This health club has something for everyone whether you are a frequent gym visitor or going for a coffee and chat. The pool facilities are nice with a warm 25 metre pool with access to spa, sauna and steam room along with toddler pool for the little ones.Within the main clubroom area there is plenty of seating room to cater for everyone. The staff are amazing as they help to make sure everyone is treated fairly and respectfully. There are many club activities to do for kids of all ages including swimming lessons. During this time it will allow parents some rest and have some time for themselves to complete exercise or just have peace and quiet time.

This one star review is not for the facilities which aren?t bad, it?s for the totally inflexible contract they get you to sign.I have been using gyms for over 30 years and other than the joining fee, you are paying to use the facilities. If you no longer wish to use them, you normally give a month?s notice and that?s it. David Lloyds do NOT do this. This is a money making company.Once you sign up you are locked in for a year. If your circumstances change and you don?t want to use the gym, then tough. Nothing short of your GP saying you shouldn?t use the gym will do. If you forget to cancel 3 months before your contract ends then they lock you in even longer. Be warned. If you do decide to cancel your direct debit then you will be threatened with court action within 2 months. Don?t let the idea of getting fit sway you. Use a different gym if you are just giving it a go.When you sign you are commiitting to at least £800 of fees so be aware. Oh and they can raise them at any point in your contract. One other thing. You are allowed to freeze your membership for long holidays or illness, but you will still pay a reduced fee and the time will be added to the end of your contract so they actually get more money if you do this.
