Lovely place we stopped for a pint when hiking the area. The staff were lovely and it's a really nice traditional pub with a log burner

Food came luke warm after one of our group asked after it's progress. When I went to suggest that it could have been warmer and that simply warming the plates would have helped I just got denials, excuses and abuse. Suffice to say I won't be going back there. On the plus side the beer was fair, albeit limited in selection. At £4+ a pint just about reasonable.

We had dad's wake at the pub and it was just right. Reasonable price, really good food and lovely staff. Dad would have said it was a 'proper pub' which it definitely is.
