I went into specsavers on a Tuesday to make appointment for myself was offered appointment on the Friday same week. I arrived and was greeted by two lovely ladies who then asked me to take a seat in the waiting area. I waited less than 5 mins for the first part of my eye test the young man sprayed the area where I was to put my face and explained what he was going to do. I was then asked to take a seat upstairs and also waited less than 5 mins the optician was very through and when I asked her to repeat some of the options it was no problem I wanted to make sure I was 100% right. I was then asked to go back downstairs to chose my glasses and I had a couple of ladies offering to help but my husband was there to give me his honest option. I was told my glasses would take 2 weeks and was given appointment with Andrew. This guy is so professional and completely makes you feel at ease and is very passionate about his job 10/10 for specsavers.Plus a couple of months ago my husband had a fall and broke his glasses we was about 2 minutes away from specsavers and we walked in with my husband bleeding hand and they were brilliant with him. He needed to get new glasses as his old ones had snapped but they took the lenses out and put them into the new frames ..no wait they couldn?t have been more helpful

The optician I saw was fantastic, as was the lady I saw to help me choose my glasses. However, upon collecting my glasses the lady behind the desk, Tammy was very rude & didn't even acknowledge myself or another lady standing waiting was met with an unfriendly attitude and generally bad customer service.

Staff were very friendly and helpful, Optician was particularly very helpful and extremely thorough during the eye examination and explained everything clearly.Selection of Glasses very good and lots to choose from with really good offers on some of the frames .All in all very professional helpful people.Many thanks ?

10 out of 10 for service here they make you feel confident comfortable nothing to much trouble spend time with you every one has a smiley face makes you feel better wouldn't go any where else ???

Arrived 5 mins early for my appointment and then was made to wait 30 minutes.You can't be late as they will cancel the appointment but they can't keep to their own appointments.

I've been with Specsavers for years the customer service is excellent and they always good with helping choosing the right glasses for me.

This branch of Specsavers was at one time so efficiently run it was a pleasant experience. What's changed? Perhaps customer services, one hand hasn't an idea what the other hand is doing. Over three weeks ago, I told my spec would be ready in a weeks time, I thought at the time, Specsavers are getting it together as it used to be more like two weeks. Unfortunately, I got that wrong. I phoned up after three weeks enquiring if my specs were ready. I was told when they come in the shop we will phone or text you.. if I hadn't had phoned, I'd still be waiting for that phone. From phoning, I asked if letting the customer was not their policy anymore, the reply was I don't know why you were not phoned, no I'm sorry about that. My personal feelings are that the customers are no longer valued as was, So marked down in my books

Update 6.6.23Still no contact.Update 2.6.23Despite completing the complaint form as requested an automated reply suggesting I would be contacted within 24 hours, there has been no contact. This serves to compound the initial issues and leads me to downgrade my score to 1 star.Initial review 29.5.23, 2 starsThe treatment I received in store was fine but I am very disappointed with the quality of my glasses. Micro scratches have appeared very quickly, reflections are a real issue and up close sight when using a mobile is not good. This makes my glasses far from what I hoped.Having switched from Asda for what I thought was a better deal I have discovered that anti scratch and anti reflective coatings are really important. These are extras at Specsavers and included at Asda as are thinner lenses.So in my opinion changing to Specsavers was a mistake and one that I won't be repeating.I will be returning to Asda to purchase replacements having learned an expensive lesson.
