Took my car there for light damage to front (still drivable) from request from L&V insurance.First took it in for a insurance estimate then 2 weeks later took it in for repair on 8th November, went to pick it up on 14th November and checked it before I left Vellas. Some damage to the front (plastic/rubber trim) had not been repaired and the was also overspray. Went to complain at reception and someone from workshops came to look. I asked him what he could see that was wrong and without showing him, he straight away pointed out the damage to the plastic/rubber trim and the overspray.I had to take the car away and they said they would phone me when the part was in stock.Back home I opened the bonnet to check oil etc and found 6 bolts loose and not fastened which held some plastic body panels on. I tightened them myself.Luckily these bolts didn't hold any important parts like the suspension on.I emailed Karl Vella on 17th Nov along with photographs complaining of the damage not repaired, overspray and importantly the 6 bolts which were loose and not even finger tight.To date (28th Nov) I have not even had a reply from them.On 23rd Nov I took the car back to Karl Vellas for the repairs to be completed, I was told they would do it in one day.It wasn't and I was told they have had to order a new bracket??I phoned again today 28th Nov and they said the part arrived yesterday and that they would try and repair it for the 30th Nov or possibly 1st December.The service has been terrible, first they didn't repair the car properly and left 6 bolts undone under the bonnet. Now the one day job will take at least another 2-3 days when they had already had it 5 days.So this one day job will now take at least 7-8 days if lucky.This is all because of Karl Vellas incompetency and mistakes, it has caused me so much hassle and so many problems its untrue!I would advise anybody who are sent to this place by L&V don't and take it elsewhere.I have complained to L&V about the service and quality of repairs and will await a reply from them.

Workshop lads and valeters are great just the reception "ladies" are absolutely horrible unfriendly unkind and horrible to deal with not to mention how slow/lazy it maybe good idea to send them for some customer care training

Had my car repaired by the vella group in skelmersdale last year . Came back with a few bodged repairs , panels out of line and a bonnet that was not sotting right .I emailed the group and skelmersdale office direct as they wont answer the phone . Never replied to one email at all . I was very unhappy with the service and lack of communication regarding my complaints .I would suggest if offered the vella group via an insurance company to do repairs . Please ask for an alternative vendor . Just search online for the long line of unhappy customers .

Stole everything they could find from my car while fixing a couple light scratchesCheers for thatTook over a month from when I first called to pick up my car, waiting time was ridiculousTook 2 weeks to fix scratches and buff out a dent, then they BROKE the engine in my new Mercedes...They had to send car back to the Mercedes dealership and replace the battery.Took super long, bad service, stole stuff from my carThey broke my car even more than when i first sent it in, the only question I have is:1.) Why is this garage even open?I?m sure it won?t be for long

Two very mixed experiences. My husband had an insurance repair completed very professionally and with excellent communication. Because of that experience, I chose Karl Vella for a repair following an altercation with a car park wall. My experience was poor. I phoned three times over two days. After making my selection from the options offered, I was cut off on each occasion after being on hold for several minutes. I completed the online form four days ago and received no response. I?m now looking elsewhere as my time is too valuable to waste.Service: Painting

My insurance allocated this repairs centre when I bumped my car and from start to finish the communication and customer service was excellent. Could not fault a single part of the process. Even when there was an issue post-repair I dropped off the keys on an evening and had a call at noon the next day to say they were driving it back to me to drop it off as it was all sorted (they even put petrol in my car what they used driving to drop it back off as their transport lorries were all in use!) Special shout-out to Wes who was dealing with my post-repair issue as he was super friendly, helpful and even offered to stay behind a few minutes to wait for me to drop my keys off if I needed it as I finished work close to the time their office closed & it would be the only time I could drop off them off. Stress free repair to my van from start to finish at Vella Group Skelmsdale. Customer service?s extremely polite and helpful in the booking of my repair, offering a date and time convenient around my busy schedule. Collection driver Chris even called 20 minutes before collection. Van returned on date and time as agreed, valeted too - thank you all looks like new again.Services: Painting

Worse place please dont go there ever my car went just to get new door and wing replaced and come out with snapped spring and warning lights on dash board for abs problem went in to ask why one manager couldn't talk or answer any questions why and when another manager come out he was so rude and wouldn't help me or check my car to see if it was safe which it was before it went to there horrible cowboys!

Collected my car for repair on 05/01/23 as unable to be driven. On arrival the driver takes photos all around your car in case of any damage already on your car, be warned they don't take photos of your front bumper. I asked the driver to be careful when loading the car, watched him through the window drive up and heard the bumpers hit the ramps on the lorry, I immediately went out and told him, his answer was "well that's what happens with these sports cars as they are lower to the floor" he then said "don't worry it will be repaired as long as you can prove it wasn't already done before", by this time I was absolutely fuming. Rang and spoke to admin staff who apologised and said my bumper would be repaired. On collecting my car on 18/02/23, had a quick look around and appeared ok. On further inspection over the next few days there was a very noticeable difference in colour between the front bumper and the rest of the car, the job sheet showed that for two damaged areas on the bumper that were each approximately 3 to 4 inches long possibly slightly longer, they had removed the complete bumper and sprayed the complete bumper in a completely different shade of blue so noticeable that Stevie Wonder could see it?? Despite numerous emails and telephone messages to them to contact me I have had no response, they need to rectify this fault as if there driver had more respect for peoples vehicles this would not have happened. They have now devalued my car and when I try to part ex this through a main dealer it will be noticed immediately and will result in me obtaining less money for my vehicle through their poor work. I did not want to use this company for my mechanical repairs but was forced to by my insurance company to obtain a courtesy car. Can't fault communication from admin staff whilst mechanical repairs were being undertaken and they were waiting for parts. Absolutely shocking service from them and rude to not even acknowledge emails and phone calls. Would give 0 stars if I could and I would never use this company again. Had our car repaired from Skelmersdale - I was a bit worried about some of the reviews but I have to say it was done to a very high standard, car was clean inside and out and the paintwork was a good match, all done in very quick time too. They called me with updates regularly. Overall i'm pretty impressed :)Services: Painting

Job fine bit had to wait 6 weeks..guy who returned the car was courteous and friendly..and we have only been given one key back though..we gave Vella 2 keys!
