My experience at McDonald's on Friargate in Preston, Lancashire, left me with mixed feelings. While the convenience and familiarity of the fast-food chain were undeniable, there were some aspects that fell short of expectations.Let's start with the positives. The location on Friargate offers the typical amenities you'd expect from a McDonald's restaurant. The menu is extensive, featuring a wide variety of burgers, fries, chicken nuggets, salads, and breakfast items to satisfy any craving. The ordering process was efficient, with multiple self-service kiosks available for quick and convenient ordering. The restaurant itself was clean and well-maintained, providing a comfortable environment for dining in.However, my experience was marred by several drawbacks. Despite the efficiency of the ordering process, the wait times for food were longer than expected, especially during peak hours. This led to some frustration and impatience, particularly when trying to grab a quick bite on a busy day. Additionally, while the restaurant was clean overall, the dining area could get quite crowded and noisy, making it less than ideal for a relaxed meal.Overall, McDonald's on Friargate offers the convenience and variety that the chain is known for, but falls short in terms of speed and ambiance. While it may be a reliable option for a quick meal on the go, it may not be the best choice for those seeking a more relaxed dining experience.Vegetarian options: There is a sparse amount of veggie options, this is a McDonald's.Parking: All parking is between a 5 and 15minutes walk, if you're in a car, go to a drive through maccies like peddlers way.Kid-friendliness: It's McDonald's.Wheelchair accessibility: There is ground floor seating, disabled toilets, and ordering.

It's a standard McDonald's. The food was warm, but not hot, and tasted alright. There were no clean tables available inside for customers to use, with the upstairs seating area blocked out of use.The service was slow compared to other branches, and the waiting area to collect the food was overcrowded. The person calling out the orders was very quiet, and the screens did not match with what was being called so it was difficult to know if your order was ready.Vegetarian options: There is a small choice of vegetarian and vegan items on the menu. They are clearly labelled under their own category if you are using the touchscreen ordering points.

It's Smack D's. Fast service however the uber (and adjacent services) people are exceptionally rude to customers and staff, pushing in front and being extremely demanding as though they take priority over everyone else. This is an issue with the driver policies of these delivery apps at the source but it should not be rewarded by staff.
