I would highly recommend working for BHF at their shop on Orchard Street, Preston. There is excellent high quality training. The manager, staff and all the volunteers are very friendly and approachable. Nothing is too much trouble and everyone works well as a team.

Decent choice of clothing in a smaller store.

Stock changes frequently however, their pricing system is a bit rich. BHF, as a National Charitable Organisation has profits of £millions annually. Their accounts are in the public domain. I think local shops need to be given more autonomy when it comes to pricing etc. They know their market.

A super charity shop, with quite a good turnover of stock too so you can visit quite frequently. Most importantly it's for a great cause. I've a had a great pair of shoes from here for very little, so make sure you go and have a look whenever you're nearby. You could always combine a visit when you're at Preston market which is very close by. This charity shop has a good amount of clothes more than anything, but also some more unusual houhold items too.
