It seems to me that they are breaking people's heart rather than healing. Very bad experience, I used to buy furniture and many household items from BHF whenever I move one property to another, Recently when I moved out my old property we planned to donate our few furniture to BHF. But due to their irresponsibility. I had to pay extra rent and they didn't even taken the dining table and chairs, that even caused me extra to clear out , in addition that the pick up team came and inspected the furniture found to be very rude and arrogant, sinor in the pick up team was acting like he never wanted the item to be taken, he was acting like he is the busiest person in the universe. And I had to help him to put the furniture in the Van eventhough it was just a set of sofa. It was stressful and i had to wait for hours, make a lot of calls to BHF Preston and to head office for them to come and pick up the furniture, seem to me that no value for Our time eventhough we give things for free.only thing you have to remember is that It's a charity organization and not a business, we people donate things and buy from BHF is that the fund generated goes for the welfare of people with heart problems. And my humble request is that people who work in this Organization can be little more kind and practical. You will find many reviews similar to mine, I don't even wanted to give them 1 star but no option.Never ever wanted anything form BHF and No more charity. Its my experience with BHF Preston might not be the same with all.

We were donating a table an 4 dining chairs, a sofa and two chairs and two wardrobes. Pick up guys arrived 2 hours late, they took the wardrobes but wouldn?t take the table or the chairs as we hadn?t dismantled it. We weren?t even told to dismantle it beforehand. They then said the sofa and chairs were too big! They reluctantlyloaded the sofa and one chair onto their van and said they?d return for the second chair. In the meantime they then told us that the sofa had woodworm so they unloaded it all again. They told us to get in touch with a charity that donates to people in need as ? they aren?t picky? We?ve had the sofa and chairs checked?.no woodworm. Honestly we won?t be donating to the BHF again.

Refused to take sofas this morning. The reason being that the fire safety labels were out of date. Spoke to customer services who said that isn't a reason they've ever heard of. Once it's got a fire label it can be collected. Now having to destroy the sofas which could've been donated for what should be a good cause

Rubbish!! , waited 3 hours just to be told that they wouldn?t take my dinning table because there is no instructions . The delivery guys was an hour and half late told me that they would come between 7:30-9:30 . I had to get up early to go to my other flat and having stage 3 cancer it?s not easy to get out of bed, felt exhausted after that and my partner had rang them to complaint . I wouldn?t give anything to charity again I might as well sell it and make money.

Very disappointing. I wouldn't leave one star other than you can't leave a review without one. Really messed me about over a delivery and collection. Wanted to support a good cause but they made it really hard work. Obviously don't need my money.

Went into the store on Monday the 10th of January was looking for a cabinet to put my vivarium on had what I was looking for the price wast bad cost 25 for the TV cabinet and 15 for delivery for Saturday the 15th guy rang me I don't know their names for a time slot arrived within the time slot they had some difficulties carrying the cabinet up all the stairs and had to put it down as on of them forgot his gloves brought all the way through my flat and left it in the middle of the room till i sorted it out to put my vivarium on top few things I should of checked not going to down star is the inside of the double door of the cabinet it is full of cobwebs and dust obviously when stood depending how long it's been their for.I volunteered here in 2015 think around March may can't remember which month we had to clean all the stock regularly before sold or everday I know with covid and short staff/volunteers it is hard to keep on top not a problem as it can soon be cleaned not everything in this store is expensive depends on what your looking for yes they have new and used items re use not everyone has the money I rely on used stuff that's cheap half of the time although its very rare I buy anything from a charity shop as I never really had to for vivarium cabinets quite expensive.

Amazing place, yes it's a charity shop but somethings are new and used items sometimes you have to wonder where they get the prices but you look you find the greatest bargin, I would not look elsewhere before looking here first
