The Doctors in this practice are very responsive.

I've only given 1 star just so I can do an honest review otherwise they would have got none !My mum is nearly 90 and very ill and cannot get to the surgery. Dr webbley himself made an appointment to come and visit my mum at home , what he failed to do was tell us that he unlike other people can seemingly be in 2 places at once ! ... he chose to not tell us he was on 'annual leave' when he was meant to be visiting mum ! Disgusting behaviour from a public body!

I find this surgery very efficient. I organised a triage phone call on the nhs app also to order medication. The response was fast and I was very happy. I have never had a problem. The doctors are always very prompt and helpful. Thank you.

How can a GP make arrangements to visit my ailing mum, yet when I phone at 4pm to find out what time he is due, I am told he is on Annual Leave and to phone again in the morning to start process all over again. I am devastated!!

Abysmal service by the staff on reception / answering the calls. You'd think they have the hardest job in the world!Absolutely no help whatsoever.Steer clear if you need help as you won't get a quick response from these muppets!

Very difficult to get through. If you get cut of when on the phone to the doctor, even if it wasn?t your fault, they don?t ring back, so you have to ring them back and then your put back on the list and lose a day waiting for a call.

You can never get through by phone. There's no point even having a doctors if you can't even make contact with them

The Drs/Nurses are always fantastic and, of course, they do a amazing job under difficult circumstances. But it's also a bureaucratic nightmare just to get an appointment. I was advised by an NHS study to get a blood test at my GP, rang the receptionist to tell them this. Was advised that I'd need a telephone appointment with the GP in two weeks' time. When the GP rang, I told him I'd been advised to get a blood test and he said to ring up the receptionist to book one in. Now I'll need to be very lucky to get through to the receptionist again because of the extraordinarily long waiting times.I'm glad I rarely need a GP, but my teenage daughter does and it's often a fight to make sure referrals are actually done (on multiple occasions it took several chasers over 2-3 weeks). It all boils down to admin issues rather than personnel. As I said, I've never had any problem at all with any of the staff we've seen - they've all been great.

One of the most innacurate cliches from the public, describing the emergence from this pandemic is that, "GP Practices are all the same," suggesting, no matter which practice you are with, they all suffer from the same shortcomings. ie: they don't answer your calls, there are no face to face appointments, the receptionists are rude and GP's are still hiding under the cover of Covid. So, are they, indeed, all the same ? The reality is, whilst many practices have emerged from this pandemic, very successfully and efficiently, Unsworth Medical Centre have, somehow become frustratingly "stuck," and haven't appeared to make the kind of progress that, most would describe as, "getting back to some kind of normality." I have experienced hanging on the phone for up to 50 mins before my call to the practice was finally answered and more recently, an automated message suggesting receptionists were busy and to call back later. To ad insult to injury, the infamous text to all patients, advising to call the surgery ONLY if, "urgent/emergency assistance" was required. I heartily believe, certainly at the time of this posting, that this medical practice might actually fail to meet even the most basic needs of some of its patients. So, reaching the point at which I was begining to feel very vulnerable and neglected, I whole heartedly knew it was definitely time for a change. My wife and I are so, so, lucky to find a new GP practice, which thankfully resembles, absolutely nothing like, the above !

Never anyone available to answer calls. Failing at their most basic duties.

This medical centre is an absolute joke, they are still using COVID-19 as an excuse. They have a lock on the door so you have to wait for them to answer before you can sign in for your appointment (if you ever get one), which usually makes you late if you have to wait, and then they tell you that you?re the one who was late. The receptionist are useless, you have to call at least twice before you can get put in a queue (which is usually more than a half an hour wait) to actually book a phone consultation because you?re not allowed to book face to face appointments. The automated response is ?our receptionist are currently busy please call again at a later time?, well you can barely get through. I?ve seen people waiting outside pressing the buzzer for 15 minutes before they were let in and they were then told their flu jab appointment was given away because they were late. The majority of the time, they ?diagnose? you over the phone, or just give you antibiotics but won?t tell you what is actually wrong with you, it?s a joke.

Excellent care. Staff are helpful and dedicated. I have been with this practice since I was child and consider my self very fortunate as the care is second to none!

Since covid the place as gone down hill rappid, 4 days trying time and time again all our receptionist are busy dumped, at one time you were put in a queue but not no more, so I drive there waiting area empty and know one answering the phones. So from 5 stars to 2 you go, I really have no idea why it gone from one of the best surgery's to this debacle is beyond my comprehension.

**NEW PATIENTS BEWARE** AVOID REGISTERING HERE AT ALL COSTS!A constant source of medical negligence. I'll be writing a complaint to the practice manager, the CQC, the NHS, and my MP. Should be shut down. Literally putting mine and my family's health at risk, making us physically and mentally worse off. I'd be better off going to A and E every time I need a GP.

Long wait times for appointments, a reception which rarely ever picks up the phone. Everything is transferred to askmyGP where the most basic help is given and appointments should you ever get one are robotic/apathetic. I?ve lost faith in the GP and I don?t think I?m the only one.
