Really disappointed with my experience. We phoned ahead to ask if we should wait until morning to bring the donations, it was 3pm, we were told by a lovely gentleman it was fine and they were there until late. We took many books and a few clothes. A whole lifetime of books which was so special to me. The lady made it very clear we were late and inconveniencing her. She was further irritated when we asked to keep the plastic boxes as we have more stuff to donate! Huffed and puffed and extremely rude! Giving these things to charity was a big deal for me, some belonged to my late parents. I truly wished I could take them back and donate to someone kinder and more appreciative. The last donation here I?m aftraid, it?s left me feeling sad!

As a former Director of a National charity I wanted to share my experience today.I went in the shop and no one was on hand to offer advice. I then inadvertently went to the 'staff only' entrance to enquire for assistance, a male volunteer quickly barked "You're not allowed allowed in here", I explained I was just looking for someone who works here. I work here he said, ok I thought. I said I was looking to donate an item of furniture, I showed a picture to help. He said straight away "No, no we can't give them away", We have loads in the back we can get rid. The attitude of a person representing the charity was off hand and very poor indeed. Now I have no problem if something I want to do give away can't be used, but the whole experience left a bitter taste, I won't be visiting again...

Just visited the Hospice Donation centre on Talbot Road, to drop off some house clearance items. The staff were brilliant, very helpful and patient, making sure to book in the items. It?s always a good idea to have your gift aid card with you as this helps the charity claim a portion of tax back. The car park at the rear is very convenient and close to the doors so the drop off was no hassle ?.If you have larger items to donate you can also book the van service which might take a few days to collect but it?s also very convenient to use.

If you are into donating things to charity but often struggle to get parked near the shop to carry everything for donation, then look no further. A huge car park and drop off reception around the back of this location make donating so much easier. The staff are super helpful too. This is my default donation site?

Wow, have just witnessed an appalling response from a charity!! A guy walked in to donate some furniture, he couldn't find anyone in the shop so walked to private swing doors, this charity guy was like, "you can't come back here", they were still in shop part... and when they showed what must have been the donation the guy was like... "No.. no.. no.. we can't give them away and have loads in skip round back!!" Truly horrendous response to someone willing to donate in what is such a crazy world. I just left in disgust, not quite believing what I had witnessed, Trinity seriously need to look into this as bad reviews travel much faster then good ones. Gratitude and Respect, not much to ask really, especially when people are looking to support a charity. That guy should seriously reconsider his choices too, clearly a square peg in a round hole!
