After car service on 24-02-2024, my Mercedes c200d car engine cover got disappeared. When I call the receptionist, she simply said it was not there. It is the worst experience I think someone has with Halford ever. Registered a complaint at customer care for the same.Even in the invoice then put my name wrongly but receptionist not agree to correct the same also. Likely my premium account it is displayed that service has been done.Hope customer care will do the needful for this matter for complaint 2255414027-02-2024:Till today no call received. Halford do have my contact details in their premium account still asking for the same. Also for the complaint number I do provided for the same. Still they are asking for contact details just to showoff. They are not trustworthy.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! USELESS AND HORRIBLE STAFF (ESPECIALLY CLAIRE FRONT DESK) !!!!!!!!!!!I had booked an MOT&Service bundle and dropped my car off at 8.30am. By 9.30am they had already called me and told me my car would not start and that I have now missed my MOT appointment, in which the next available appointment was in 8 days. They then tried selling me a new battery for £200 over the phone (as apparently my battery was completely flat), I told them there is no chance in hell my battery is flat as I drove the car there an hour beforehand and I had already purchased a new battery from Halfords 6 months prior. I told them I will leave work AGAIN and come and see what is wrong with my car.Upon arriving back at Halfords auto centre at 10am, I picked my key up from Claire (who is an absolute discredit to Halfords btw) and proceeded to check out my car, of course my car started straight away with 0 problems, funny that. I left my car running and popped back into reception were I was told it wasnt Halfords problem my car didnt start at the point of the test and I have no choice but to wait 8 days for a new appointment. Claire (front desk) made no attempt to try and iron out an issue that clearly stemmed from someone in the Halfords team not being able to start a car or has clearly never come across a steering lock.Of course the boss was on holiday at the time and there was no one present who could speak to me and try to come to an agreement on this. But instead Claire took in into her own hands to completely cancel my bundle booking of an MOT and Service, at this point I have now got 2 cars down the autocentre and Claire made me life hell when I treid to leave one in the carpark and move my other car.She has no respect for any customers that walk in the door and Halfords should really be looking into their staff and the way they offer their services. Unfortunately for Halfords, this place is well known for its bad service or ridiculous failures and cutting short of tests. A few years ago my motor was failed on an MOT for having too many air fresheners and were obstructing my view, clearly noone in this place has a braincell between them.Good luck to the future of your business, I wouldnt trust my sons toy car with you.(1 star is generous btw)

Just to let people know, my daughter went to this branch of Halfords for a quote on repairing her clutch on her car. She was quoted £470 to complete the works , but when the work had been completed Halfords strood charged her £750, which she paid in full but she was very upset ( as anyone would Be)At no point in time did anyone from that branch get in contact with her to inform her of the additional cost, this is totally unacceptable and very unprofessional. I will personally try and stop this happening again, taking advantage of a young innocent woman is the lowest of the lowest and Halfords as a business need to be aware of this.

As you will see from most of the reviews here. This garage is terrible.We had the unfortunate experience with them as they quoted us for a repair and when it came to paying it was £300 more!!I called the branch to discuss this and spoke to the manger Liam ( no help at all) and he tried to tell me that the quote to repair the car didnt include parts and that we should have asked before the work was done for a final cost, even though they quoted us for the ?repair?!All in all, rude staff, terrible customer service and feel like they can rip young women off that go into garages by themselves.Would avoid at all costs!

Only because 0 stars is not an option.Extremely rude receptionist, with no customer care experience or interest. Upon booking they tell you to arrive 10 minutes before 8 am if you want your vehicle back the same day, but when you arrive there as per their instructions they turn you away as it?s not 8 am (shouting at you through the door).The website didn?t advise the type of garage and that it cannot accommodate for LWB and high roof, so after waiting over 20 days for this booking we was turned away with no further explanation or help because the van won?t fit in their garage.AVOID AT ALL COST!!!I won?t trust them even with a toy car !!!!

Both staff that we dealt with were delightful, super chatty and willing to tell us all the ins and outs of the MOT. We even had a licence plate bulb replaced completely free of charge, so a MASSIVE thanks for that too. All completed in around 50mins, great service imo. Would use again.

What can I say .. rip off merchants. My Mrs took her car for a mot as was pushed and pushed to join halfords club. As she didn't want to do this they had to find something to fail her 2016 29,000 mile ka well they said her headlamps were too high and wanted £15 per lamp to adjust them but they couldn't do it on the day so I told her to bring it home . When she got here I sat in the car and pressed the dip button on the dash and they dropped. Yep that's right they didn't even bother pressing a button. They just wanted to fail it . I took it to autocraft in larkfield and surprise Surprise it passed. I think it says it all. Halfords are a total rip off and I wouldn't recommend ANYONE ELSE TAKING THEIR CAR THERE FOR A MOT

Booked my wife's car in for a bulb repacment. The job was a lot harder than just opening the bonnet and swapping old for new. The mechanic and receptionist were brilliant, helpful, and friendly.

My car went for its first MOT today and within an hour I had a call to say it was ready, when I got there they told me it originally failed for headlight alignment but that they had sorted that out FOC and retested it to save me having to come back for a retest! Great service and would definitely recommend!
