Thoroughly enjoyed my visit 25/03/24. Both the castle and gardens were astonishingly beautiful. Ian was a great tour guide and made the day very fun and so interesting. Wonderful place well worth a visit.

Excellent landscaping and themed gardens, all well maintained. The lakeside walk is well worth the effort. The castle tour is a must too. Well organised and informative, with the multimedia tour included in the entrance cost. The visit was early season and so the more family focused activities of water maze and boating hire were not yet operational.

I visited here using Tesco Club card rewards. It is a short walk from Hever Station and the routes are well signposted (but depending on if you are using the route accrues fields or walking along the roads without pavement it can be muddy in places if there has been recent rain). However, the route back to the station didn't seem to be signposted. The Castle and Gardens were lovely, although some areas were being worked on and the gardens obviously change throughout the seasons. The castle is associated with the Boleyn family (Anne grew up here), Anne of Cleves (who was given the house after her divorce to Henry VIII as the Boleyn family were no longer favoured by the King, and the Astor family. The food places were very popular with very slow moving qeues at lunchtime and ran out of sandwiches soon after 12, and the BBQ , which had less of a queue, didn't seem to have any vegetarian options. There are quite extensive grounds to explore so I was pleased that it wasn't raining.

Had a lovely day out here. Was able to see much more of the castle than I thought we would be allowed, and all the staff were very knowledgeable and friendly throughout. For me, the highlight was the amazingly beautiful gardens, and they weren't even in full bloom yet, so we're going back in June to see the rose gardens in all their glory.

Very enjoyable day out at the (assumed) birthplace of Ann Boleyn, beautifully maintained gardens and house.

The castle is actually smaller than I expected but has a lot of history. It was really interesting to learn about the link with Henry VIII. The gardens and location is very impressive, really well maintained and well organised. There are many events during the year and a nice playground for the kids, a few nice cafés.

We arrived in time to book for the behind the scenes tour round the castle. This was very good as it gave additional information about the history to that you get from the standard self guided walk round. The guide was witty and had a good delivery. The garden was lovely considering the time of year and we had the bulbs - daffodils and the first tulips.

Fabulous castle with fascinating history. We had a behind the scenes tour with an excellent guide who was so knowledgeable and kept our small group very interested. We visited in the spring and saw lots of daffodils and other spring flowers. The gardens are immaculate and absolutely amazing. Would love to visit in the summer to see the summer flowers. Definitely worth a visit. Highly recommend.

Really enjoyable experience, fabulous castle and history enhanced by beautiful gardens and walks around the lakes. Well worth the hour+ journey. Must be one of the best castles to visit in uk and we have seen many around the country using our HH membership. We've also visited other ancient properties as NT members which we also subscribe to and Hever ranks very highly amongst anywhere we've visited.I can see it's expensive day out for a day visit with the family. My advice to them would be have a look at the pricing to make it more affordable to families as our daughter & her children declined to join us given the cost involved. We will be going back during spring and summer when gardens are more advanced

Absolutely loved this place, the castle has a really warm cosy feel about it, loads of interesting historical information and images.Gardens lovely even though we're just getting into spring.Lovely shops, nice cafe, young lad doing a grand job on the coffee machine, probably need a second barrister at times.Staff lovely and friendly.Definitely planning on returning a but later in the year when everything is on bloom and possibly staying for a night or two.

It was wonderful to see the childhood home of Anne Boleyn, and to speak to multiple members of the staff regarding the history of the castle. I believe we spoke to a gentleman named Paul, and he was absolutely lovely. I was very excited to learn that the castle also belonged to Anne of Cleves and Mary Tudor. I will definitely return.

Castle itself is ok. I'd say it differs from other castles in Uk, has more wood in interior and some strange room plannings. But it is still very good.Territory is big with lots of beatiful spaces.Castle also has very good playground.

Very historic. Beautiful setting. Worth a visit.

This place used to celebrate the life of Anne Boleyn. No longer. It has just been turned into a family theme park (nothing against families!). It no longer celebrates ANYTHING except the wish of the current owners to make as much money as possible out of everything - the entrance fee; gifts; ice creams etc. It is no longer worth any sort of visit for those who want to visit and experience a truly historic site. Shame on you new owners (a big group). Most of the old staff (who knew anything about the history) have gone in disgust. You may as well now go to Legoland. Avoid.
