Avoid. They do test on your car don't provide result, refuse the provide you results when questions, become hostile and aggressive and charge you over the odds for any repairs through them. They claim the had done a break test and telling me my break efficiency is low then don't have results of test and refuse to share results of test I've paid for rather strange especially when other garages will give you these results and explain thoroughly the issues. Avoid go to a proper garage that will service you correctly

MOT Fail, £1200 to have all brakes changed on an electric MG that?s 4 years old. ASSUMED we had been using the regen braking consistently when in fact my wife drives this car 85% of the time using KERS setting 1, so using the foot brake more often. I will not be using any Halford Autocentres ever again. 0 stars if I could.

My Ford Focus was booked for an MOT and was done on time! Very friendly and excellent service by the staff and manager George. Would 100% recommend!

Not a reliable MOT centre.They've cancelled my MOT appointment 3 weeks in a row due to a faulty machine- which means my car's MOT has now run out, leaving me unable to use it. They cancelled my wife's appointment a month earlier because they didn't have an inspector? Unreliable.

Very helpful and friendly, would highly recommend here for any car troubles and MOTs, cheap prices too. Sam helped us with our headlights with no extra charges and gave us great advice. 10/10.

Had an issue accessing my headlight, called up and a young man said he'd try help me. 5 minutes later, I've got a new bulb in and the mechanic has a sore hand from accessing the stupidly inaccessible headlight. Wouldn't even let me pay, 5/5 will go back.

I took my car in for a tire change and a brake test as my MOT is nearly due and was greeted by George at the reception. I could see he had a busy day and a stressful one at that. Regardless he was professional, friendly and polite throughout. My brakes needed some work done after the test and he was able to squeeze me in on the day which was amazing as I needed the car for a long trip.I knew taking my car in could cost me extra money after tests so I am not going to feel pressured when told something needs to be fixed... that's the whole point of owning a car. It's trusting the guy on the other end that gives you peace of mind when you take your car in. I appreciate all the feedback I received from my visit.I see on Google reviews a lot of negative feedback regarding people... but you need to understand that feedback is one-sided and when someone is ripping on someone you don't get to hear the other side. George was professional and a gentleman. It's a difficult line of work and you have to deal with different types of people every day... not every customer is a good customer... think about it when reading reviews.Thank you George ??

***AVOID THIS PLACE***My experience at this Halfords location was nothing short of unpleasant and unprofessional, mainly due to George, the front-desk staff member.I visited for a free five-point check, and right from the start, George seemed judgmental and asked why I wanted it. I explained that I had an upcoming MOT appointment the following day, to which he responded with a dismissive shrug, rolled his eyes, and told me that the five-point check wouldn't be of any help for the MOT.The real trouble came when I returned the next day for my MOT. It failed due to a wheel frame fracture, which was understandable. George instructed me to get it fixed and return within 10 working days for a free retest. However, when I contacted the service department later to confirm the procedure and schedule the retest, George rudely answered the phone and impatiently informed me that there was no need to book; I should just call them right before coming in for the retest.The very next day, I got the wheel fixed and called Halfords in the morning as instructed. To my surprise, a different staff member answered and told me that I needed to book a retest and that the earliest appointment available was a week away. He also mentioned that George had provided incorrect information, which was not the first time he had done so.In the end, I decided to take my business elsewhere and successfully passed my MOT at another facility. I have no intentions of returning to this Halfords branch due to the abysmal service I received from George. It's baffling to see that he has been receiving negative reviews for years, yet he still retains his position here.

Be very careful using this branch or halfords. Car MOT'd which failed on parking break efficiency. Retested sameday elsewhere and passed. I'm guessing they need MOT'S to fail to be converted into work for them. Head office pressure for income or dodgy technician. They also told me brakes needed replacing at previous service earlier in year. When changed were not as bad as they stated. The staff are WAF and creepy and definitely saw me as a vulnerable mother with 2 small children. Do not trust! Do not use!

Superb customer service and approach to the respective service I took my car in for. George in particular, managed to turn things around faster than I could have asked for or expected. I'm truly thankful for his thoughtfulness and will definitely be returning back!

Booked my tyres to be done the night before via online. Took in my vehicle to be met by some abrupt /rude member of staff on the front desk. Was the 1st time I've ever used Halfords and would be the last if this is how customers are treated. Wouldn't recommendService: Tires
