We visited here today as we had heard good things about the Sunday roasts. The food was of a good standard, lovely cooked meats and home made stuffing. The roast potatoes were quite hard and so were the carrots and greens. They refused to give my toddler two choices of meat. I don't see why it would cause a problem as they only needed to cut down on one of the meats to accommodate two.He didn't understand why he couldn't have two so became very upset and stressed (you try telling a 3 year old)The website states that a roast is £13.95 but it is infact £15.95 and lamb £16.95 so it is out of date. With the cost of living nowadays I do believe everything should be spot on for the price, so in this respect, I feel as if it was very expensive.

We stopped here for tea and cake on the way home from Hereford, we know there was an outside area and as was hot wanted to take our dogs. There are NO signs to say ?no dogs? and as we approached the main entrance a woman rushed out to say we take dogs in, fare enough she said someone would open the side gate. The young lady that opened it was lovely and we took a seat and I went in to order. Another lady ushered me back out telling me it was table service only, but not when you pay the bill, then you have to go in!!!!!! Then we couldn?t open the stupid gate to leave, they keep it locked !!! Can I suggest you leave this gate open and be more welcoming to dog owners, if you take payment on ordering then people won?t leave without paying. Maybe your staff could be more welcoming and less zealous in demanding people PAYING for a service obey your rules. Lastly put up a sign saying no dogs on your ramp up to the main entrance. Next time I will go to The old railway garden centre where they welcome you and your dogs.

With the cost of living nowadays I do believe everything should be spot on for the price, so in this respect, I feel as if it was very expensive. Can't fault the waiting staff as they were very attentive but the guy that bluntly told my toddler he couldn't have two meats was very rude!

Having been to this restaurant for Sunday lunch probably 3 or 4 times a year, for a number of years, I think our most recent will be the last. Although the staff are very friendly and Sunday lunch is still very good it now has reached the point where it is overpriced. £15.95 for one course is too much and the portion sizes have got progressively smaller as time has gone by. The setting has always had a bit of a cafe feel to it, rather than a quaint pub, but we were prepared to live with that whilst we felt it was value for money. Shame

Visited here before Covid and thought we would journey out from Ledbury to have lunch. We were pleasantly surprised with the new layout, the new cubicles really provide a lovely niche to chat. The staff were very attentive throughout and couldn?t have shown more quiet concern when one of our party had a panic attack. Thank you. The food however is mediocre. The panini was a roll, definite not a panini. The quiche looked rather anaemic, lacked eye appeal and tasted ?old?. The steak and ale pie had been cremated - the contents were tasty but the pastry crust needed a pneumatic drill to break in. I would guess that it had been placed in a microwave which has the effect of turning pastry into concrete. What a let down - great staff, nice refurbishment but poor food. I doubt that we will return.

Oakchurch was recommended to us during our stay in the area. We had heard only good things, and were hugely disappointed. Although the shop was nice (although overpriced), we arrived in the restaurant area just before 11:30am hoping for an early lunch. They have this bizarre menu system whereby they serve breakfast between 9:30 and 11:30am, but don't start serving lunch until 12pm, so between 11:30am and 12pm you can get neither breakfast nor lunch, only afternoon tea! (cake and coffee). We had already had breakfast early that morning, but couldn't order lunch, so had to settle for the full English. At £11.95 each, I expected better, it was definitely overpriced and overcooked. Although the sausage was anemic, everything else was dried out and the bacon was so hard, I couldn't cut through it. The coffee was weak and had no taste. My husband enjoyed his tea, but that was about all. I definitely would not recommend and I wouldn't ever go there again.

Four of us had lunch today: great food, great prices, great value and, best of all, wonderful service. We really appreciated the happy, cheerful and welcoming way that we were looked after. Thank you. It was a real treat.

We enjoyed visiting the farmshop and our lunch. The service was efficient and friendly. My partner had ham, egg and chips which he said was delicious. I had a jacket potato with pulled pork. The waitress advised me when I ordered that the pork was served cold which I thought was very good of her. I also enjoyed my food. I have docked a star as I felt the restaurant was cold and the toilets, as other reviewers have pointed out are outside and on the other side of the building. NB it was very busy here - it might be worth booking to avoid disappointment.

After a very chilly walk in the Radnor forest we called in at the Oakchurch farm food centre. We were after a warming brew (and maybe a cake or two). However, once seated in the very airy and welcoming restaurant we were seduced by the menu. The cake would have to wait! A many varied menu of treats lay before us - I just had to have the fish and chips followed by a pot of tea. My partner in crime went for the Salmon platter, followed by Earl Grey. Sad to say, there were some fabulous cakes.. The freshly cooked fish sat upon a large plateful of equally fresh chips. My partners reaction to her salmon platter was to suggest that she may need either help in finishing or else a 'doggy-bag'. As our feast progressed we began to realise just how hungry we were: I left three small and quite crisp chips, my partner just the two small packs of butter. I have a feeling that we might even have licked the plates. No cooking tonight then.. We did some extra shopping in the food halls. A very wide range of local produce was displayed - even daffodils from Cornwall? We could have spent a lot more and stayed much longer but we needed to be back on the road. We shall be back! As we departed we decided that the food centre, and the Pantry in particular, was the perfect stop on the way home.

Here every thursday for breakfast and then shopping afterwards. The service was quick and the ladies cheerful and chatty depending on how many customers. The food is all cooked fresh so there is a wait.Bruce is always there to take praise or complaints.A very varied menu for breakfast which you can alter to your own taste. They can do Gluten Free on request. The booth system is still in operation which makes it feel like the cafes of old.All is on the flat and seating outside.Downside is toilets are at the other end of the building.

We haven?t been to this coffee shop for a very long time, due to the pandemic and family illness. We were pleasantly surprised at the changes - it?s now waitress service and seems more spacious. The food and beverages ordered were very tasty and our waitress was superb. She friendly, efficient and helpful. We shall certainly return. I just wish this coffee shop had an inside bathroom with baby change facilities, with winter approaching. It is dreadfully cold outside with a newborn, so we did not bother to use bathroom facilities outside.

Stopped at Oakchurch for breakfast this morning. Best Eggs Benedict I've had and great coffee. Lovely friendly waitress and excellent fast service. Live locally so will definitely be back for breakfast soon.

We came in for a stop off. We ordered a child's lunch bag which was very disappointing. For £5.95 we expected something that reflected the farm shops emphasis on quality food. What we got was a sandwich on very cheap white bread, a fruit shoot type drink that was really horrible, cheap crisps and a over-sweet rice crispy cake that was chewy and tasted a few days old. We also had something off the list bites menu that was very poor value. The toilets are far away from the cafe so we had to leave our food to get our toddler over there. The toilets were dirty. The cafe does have a lovely play area and garden and a member of staff did feed the fish with the children.
