Went in today for lightweight waterproof clothing as I'm taking part in trek26 on the weekend ,chose regatta as they are the main sponsors of the event (in aid of Alzheimers) they also provide a 10%discount to all participants ,They refused to give me said discount as my items were already in the sale and their policy states any addional discounts can't be applied I will not be shopping there in future

Only been in a couple of times, quite expensive and very hard to move around with a pushchair, no walking trousers for kids and I think other floors but dknt think accessible with pushchair

Turned away because I wasn't wearing a face mask. I was asked to provide proof of exemption, which I didn't have. They must be doing extremely well in these times if they can turn away custom on such tenuous grounds. I have medical conditions, and having to justify myself to enter a shop to spend my own money is something I simply am not prepared to do in a free country. There was literally nobody else in the shop anyway at the time. Businesses need to remember who keeps them in business, and it isn't the government - it is paying customers! As someone who had no choice but to work the entire lockdown as a 'keyworker', I refuse to be treated in this manner in my own time. Regatta has lost my custom not only at this store, but I will avoid buying their products online as well. I have spent a lot of money on their products previously. Nevermind the values advertised in the window upon entering the store, if this is how you treat your paying customers, then it amounts to very little. Why I am exempt is nobodies business but my own. What is your business is that I'm a potential paying customer patronising your business. That is all you need to know, and nothing more.
