Good hotel, well presented and in a great location close to Old Portsmouth and the bustling Southsea area. Quite peaceful at night once the pier shuts down.Staff were friendly and efficient. The room was decent. I don't think the air con was working but was lucky enough to not get too hot.The hotel wasn't serving breakfast whilst I stayed for a couple of nights, for some reason they just couldn't open. The staff made sure the breakfast charge was refunded though, which was appreciated.

First time staying here because usually use Holiday Inn. Holiday Inn Southsea has been very sloppy in room not being ready upon arrival at check in the last couple of times. I was very impressed with Premier Inn. Friendly efficient welcome, room good size and very comfortable. Very good value at £81 for the night. Definitely will come back next time. Fab location right on the seafront Close to Clarence Pier. ?

Not one of the best Premier Inns I have stayed in but perfectly serviceable. Great location and price was very good.Nearby activities: Massive carpark next door to the hotel which also has one for £5 a night when I stayed in 2024Walkability: You can walk to the spinnaker in about 20 mins

Beware if you book parking in advance online it is £9 for 24 hours but if you just turn up it is only £5 for 24 hours. Not sure why they have two tier pricing because even if you book a space it doesn't look like it is guaranteed!

A lovely Premier Inn in a great location of Portsmouth & Southsea. The team here are amazing and no request is ever too much to ask! Always friendly and welcoming, even the housekeepers, which I find unusual in some hotels! The rooms are lovely but there are a few drawbacks. Firstly, the lack of ventilation in the bathroom meant that taking even the quickest of showers can leave it like a sauna. Mirror completely covered in steam, and definitely not good if you?ve got any breathing difficulties. Next was the lack of air flow around the room. This made it quite difficult to sleep with as even the air conditioning unit isn?t incredibly powerful, making for sweaty sleeps, and the window only opens an inch. Again, not great for any ventilation.Other than these drawbacks, the hotel is conveniently located on the seafront, with good parking costing only £5 a night for visitors to the hotel. There is also a lot of local excess parking should you not be able to get one of the spaces in their car park.I would definitely return, as it?s got lovely views of the beach and ships entering/exiting the harbour. Only 10 minutes walk to Gunwharf Quays/Central Southsea and 15 minutes to Portsmouth town.

Very pleased with our stay here. Perfect location, parking was good with a small fee to pay. We visited late December and I can imagine the area around the hotel gets busy in summer.Rooms: Very clean, very fresh. Can tell bathroom in need of upgrade. And hooray, window you can open for fresh sea air.Safety: Good safety features on access doors to rooms and lift needing a key card.Food & drinks: We had the all you can eat breakfast with kids eat free. Good quality food. Excellent. We had one evening meal which was average, nothing special and very limited for kids. My granddaughter likes Mac and cheese, couldn't have it just plain and had butternut and broccoli mixed in. Not a mac and cheese.

A bit tired, but nevertheless a comfortable and quiet room.Stepped out of this hotel into a beautiful sunny day. Seconds to the sea.
